question about froyo?

I was wondering if I go ahead and get the OTA Froyo 2.2 when it comes out, am I going to be sol on getting the rooted version if I decide to later?

Actually, my understanding is that they haven't even found a root exploit for 2.1 yet, but that doesn't matter because you just flash 2.0.1 and root from there. So it will be the same for 2.2, you'll be able to root from day 1.
