Root Best 2.2 ROM?

I know that's a subjective question but, to anyone who's flashed their Hero with 2.2, can you let me know which one you have (Cronos, Fusion, etc...) and how it's doing?

I'm very tempted...

I am running Froyo and its very fast, looks nice aswell, had no problems as of yet

I tried Fusion on version 1 and 3. It was ok but had a few bugs, like having to reboot to get things to download from the market. Battery life wasn't great and my hero was always running very warm.

Froyd 1.1.1 is much better. It would definitely get my vote.

I tried Fusion but much prefer Froyd - much nicer and a quick ROM. Camera aside, everything works great!

I've only tried Froyd but I can say apart from the camera issue this ROM is very very stable and very fast.

OK, so the stock camera doesn't work and you need to download something else? No biggy... what about the big one though - FLASH VIDEOS?! That's the thing I need so I can rub my dirty Apple iSheep friends faces in.

No, unfortunately there's no more flash support than there was in 2.1. Maybe we'll get it at some point in the future though....

I think this is pretty unlikely, from what i've read the flash implementation in 2.2 utilises some of the advanced GPU capabilities found in the snapdragon processor (and its peers). In other words it's not just a question of clock speed, the hero simply doesnt have the hardware capabilities required to run the 2.2 implementation of flash.

Froyd 1.1.9 has been released. Haven't flashed it yet but the download page makes it sound like there've been some pretty big changes.

Even the camera works!

Can confirm that the camera does work, and for Goggles, Barcode scanner etc. Other improvements mostly internal for even faster running. Can highly recommend this one.

Yup, everything seems great so far.

Only thing I found was, setting up the kernel to use the 'interactive' governor like they recommended was a bit sluggish. Even though my min/max overclock speeds were both 690, the phone kept jumping between 350-690.

Switch to performance and everything's back to normal. Supposedly interactive gives the best battery life, but it didn't seem to run smoothly for me.

I liked the rom, so far Launcher pro is very similar and imo slightly faster so I decided to go back to v12 + launcher pro

I tried Froydvillain 1.1.1 previously, but I cannot connect to my office exchange server....

Strange, it's working fine here, only problem is lockpicker can't be used without Sence to get rid of the anoying password protection.

I am on Fusion 2.2 rom build 6.1, works like a charm. Using the 691mhz version. Tried the 710 but was a bit laggy suprisingly. Looking forward to alpha then I dont have to keep reinstalling it lol

i just threw on 1.1.9 froyd left the stock kernal on it, and battery live is still 2 days same as 1.1.1 but my linpack went up from 3.8 to 4.2 with base clocks.

decided to try villain 1.1.9 but couldn't get it to work properly on my phone, it would keep forgetting my settings, fc's, and screen rotation would go all warped...

using fusion 2.2 right now, seems a little slow... do i need to restart it a few times?

Does anyone know how to sync fb contacts with phone contacts in 2.2? fusion doesn't have FB installed..

Froyd 1.2 is out. The download claims it's mega fast, but I haven't tried it yet.
