Help Contact list problems

Got my phone today... omg love it.

problem is i went to the verizon store, had them transfer contacts from my blackberry and when i go to contacts, it is empty other than the phone default numbers.

If i go to "All contacts" the list is populated with my regular phone numbers +600 facebook friends i do not care about...

How can i get it so i only have the numbers i want...
 
I've been trying to figure out a solution to this myself. Same problem.

I'll probably just go through and re-add everything manually.

and hit the display group on the screen and choose
which u want to see

yea thats the problem.

If i display only phone contacts, like i want to, the list is empty.

The only way to display my phone contacts is to display all. Which includes 500 facebook friends i dont want displayed.
 
then you might not have it set through that group...

I have my myspace and facebook and twitter people all in my contacts
and i also have 8 different emails with each of those email contacts

when i go to contacts, i hit display group and i choose which group i.e facebook or my main gmail.com and it just shows me those

I had the same issue on my Eris with HTC sense

i thought i was saving the contacts to the gmail account when in reality i was saving it to the phone

i did some snooping around

when you go into the contacts app
then hit menu and hit the more icon
and hit settings

it says something about new contacts

idk what that is about

p sure it means that new contacts are created in all those groups.
 
Another thing that disturbs me is the multiplicity of the app and Blur, and that they display separately in the "accounts" section and show up as 17 linked profiles for me: 1 from Facebook and 16 from nativeFacebook. Devs have some work to do.

PS plz to be merging threadz :)
