I get all of my backgrounds from the Flikie Wallpaper HD app, There are thousands to look through, just be sure to save the ones you like.

The icons are from THIS site. I just scan the bar code of the icon I want to use, open the phones browser, long press on the icon and then save it to the phone.

I use WidgetLocker for my lock screen. You can place widgets and shortcuts on the lock screen, change the background and there are several other options.

When I try to change wallpaper with WidgetLocker on the lock screen it says Motorola Gallery not supported.

You need to store the wallpaper to your sd card or picasa (if you have picasa pics in your gallery) then choose the wallpaper from your gallery. Works great when you do it like that. Honestly I have never even looked at the moto gallery because I never like pre installed wallpapers on phones so I have no clue what is in there.

Long press on the widget like you were to move it and then icons to change side will appear around the widget itself. Just drag a corner how you want it. Not 100% sure if it works like that while using ADW or LauncherPro though.

Technically you should be able to do this using WIdgetLocker, but everytime I attempt to access "Wallpapers" it tells me the Motorola Gallery isn't supported
