I'm finding it's transfering mp3's at around 3MB/s, though. Is that normal?

I bought this one,
PNY 16GB Micro SD Memory Card - Mobiles at Play.com (UK)
It writes at class 6 speeds even though it's class 2,so overall I'm happy with it.

I got this one - also from Play.com - and can confirm it's a pumped up class 2 card working at class 6 speeds.![]()
Is this one Play.com 16GB Micro SDHC Memory Card (Class 2) - Mobiles at Play.com (UK) different than this oneI got this one - also from Play.com - and can confirm it's a pumped up class 2 card working at class 6 speeds.![]()
Sorry for the noob question but... what are the classes that you guys are referring to?

I believe you can just copy the entire contents to your PC, then copy over to the new card.another noob question if i may...
if i buy a new SD card what is the best way to transfer information from my current one to the new one so that I dont lose anything?
They use the same technology, it's just that MicroSD cards are about a quarter of the size.Oh and while im at it- whats the differnce between SD and MicroSD?

Most recognised quality card manufacturers indicate the class on the card (or the packaging). It shows the class number inside a capital CThanks guys. Where is it indicated which class a particular microSD card is?

Oh god... yeah haven't noticed that :SThat's SDHC, not Micro-SDHC.
It won't fit in your Desire.
I'm trying to find a fast 8GB card in the UK. Seems like the Sandisk Class 4s are actually much faster than most Class 6s but they're not that easy to find. Can anyone suggest something? If it's not a SanDisk then I'd like to see real world read/write speeds if possible.
That's SDHC, not Micro-SDHC.

I have one of these, it runs at 4MB write / 5MB read.

That's why I want a Sandisk card, most others just cannot compete.
