Help Tethering PS3

I was wondering if anyone has tried playing online using wifi tether with thier Dinc, I saw a video where they played Xbox using a Dinc to tether. Just wondering if it could be done with a PS3. If it is can someone please explain to me how to do it?

get a rom that has wifi tether in hostpot mode or a rom that has 3g hotspot and configure it right and connect ps3 to it and thats all must be rooted

Where would I find the ROM's Im a newb and still not sure about where things are or how to install them

You can technically but 3g is pretty laggy for gaming purposes.

It will run, and run pretty well with ~90ms ping to a local server but that's laggy compared to what you can get with FiOS or even some cable nowadays.

Shouldn't you be able to do this on any rooted phone with wifi tether?

Yeah just wifi tether the newest version AP and WPA2.

I can't see a 3g connection being good for gaming... Ya it might be running ok but your surely at the disadvantage against anyone you play... Unless your playing something like Viva Pinata....

Regardless just root and you can do it.

Did you install the newest version? Otherwise it wouldnt work.

you need the new apk that enables infrastructure mode not ad hoc

If you do use this ( assuming you dont pay extra for 5 gb tethering ) your data will spike . You will easily go over 5gb and verizon will see it and investigate. You could be stuck with a huge bill. The unlimited package isn't really unlimited and I've worked with ppl in the situation and about half get stuck with the huge bill.
