lol. that's funny. So I bet you feel like you're really getting something special when you receive a message:p, Like you've worked hours and hours trying to find the secret in Zelda and now you got it. I guess that'd be a clever way of making myself feel a bit better about receiving a message. Instead of a say.. the sound of a gun shot or a police siren or something. hahah. Or imagine the sound in video games when a boss approaches "DUN DUNN DUNNN!" You'd be crappin' your pants every time you got a message and s#*&.

You sir, have great taste in music. Im going to see Dave on the 27th :D I 100% agree with you about OAR.

But I use yoshi's mount sound for notifications, pokemon theme for some calls but mainly pirates of the Caribbean theme.
 
Right now for a ringtone I use the main battle music from Bleach, pm me if you want it it is awesome! For texts i use a tone I made of Ken from Street Fighter saying "hadouken!"
 
"Layla" (Clapton) or "Satisfaction" (Stones) first 20 or so secs for calls.
"Teleport" noti sound for texts.

During football season:
"Fox NFL" intro for calls
"Eyes of Texas" for texts

"No One" (Alicia Key) as my wife's tone.
 
I use the Futurama theme song, sounds fantastic and makes everyone happy

I also use Team America (AMERICA!! F%&$ YEAH!!) for my very patriotic friend
 
I lean toward the humorous one's.

"Crazy Train" by Ozzy is my default. I do have some others set for specific people. A favorite is "Big John" by Jimmy Dean set for my brother. Bet ya can't guess his name. ;-)
