I ordered one for my husband on Saturday and the CSR I just spoke to said it would likely ship today. I'll believe it when I see it, but if it does...woohoo!

My order was processed on the 3rd, and I was billed on the 4th. Still no tracking number or package. I guess they bill you well before they ship the phone out.
EDIT: Just called Verizon and the woman was going to transfer me over to the internet orders department to find out more specific information. She gets back on the line and tells me the internet orders department has an alert for the Droid phones, that they aren't taking any calls regarding the orders. So, the best she could tell me is if I ordered on the 3rd it will be here before the 18th. Jeez, I guess everyone is calling them lol.. Kinda sucks, I was hoping to get it this week.

I just called and talked to an exceptionally helpful and friendly rep.
I was told that my phone is in transit and given a tracking number, which checks out.

Why they're shipping from Canada is beyond me, but I do know that they're hauling ass if they're getting it to Colorado by tomorrow.

Finally got my e-mail. It's in PA (im from NY) and says estimated delivery is Wednesday so it probably won't even take that long. Funny thing is I called *611 literally right before I got the e-mail and the lady told me it wouldn't ship until the 20th so don't listen to them. I bought it from store on the 1st if you're curious.

found out it didnt go in until the 4th (ordered around 4pm pacific time) so makes sense.
though i dont agree with charging so far in advance. would be nice if they charged when the phone actually ships.

Mines in Memphis to, i wonder if it's going to make it to me tomorrow. It says it's going to, but I'm a little apprehensive at this time.

I'm dying waiting for my X to ship.
Usually I'm nice and patient when waiting for a new toy to come in the mail, but this time around I simply can't wait for it.
As much as I adored my iPhone, I'm extremely excited to use an Android phone. The sheer amount of things that can be done with the Android platform amazes me, and with the awesome hardware that the X brings to the table, I don't think I'll miss my iPhone for a moment.
In any case, I ordered the afternoon of the 6th, so I know it'll be a few days before I even get shipping notification, but I'll probably just be at the door waiting eagerly anyway until it comes.
Until then I'll just keep on looking at good ole

I ordered my wifes online on 8/4 at 4pm est. as a new account (new customer). Used the switch 30 code and got the phone for $169.
Sent an email this morning asking status and telling them that I would be going on vacation next week and was hoping for the phone to ship.
Got my tracking number at noon! It will be here tomorrow. Shipped overnight fedex.
my sob story probably didnt effect them at all but it shipped!
