Finally. My tracking has been updated. My phone went from Memphis to Louisville, which means its roughly halfway to me. Its coming tomorrow then! Finally. Too bad tomorrows my long shift, which means I work most of the day instead of the morning like normal. Well darn.
 
ok so after calling verizon a million times with each person giving me bs about how they cant find me a tracking number i finally got through to a supervisor and got my tracking number. i complained to them that i never received my order number or an email with a tracking number. my droid x should be here tomorrow! i cant wait.

who should I go about calling? i still have sprint and cant switch untill i get my DX. i ordered in-store on the 5th and paid $500 for 2 DXs up front.

(800) 922-0204 just keep pressing things until it takes you to the operator and just explain that you never got a tracking number. most likely she will say we dont have a tracking number. from there you can either hang up and try again or you can ask to speak directly with a supervisor and explain that you ordered the phone and never got an email with any tracking number. he should be able to get you the tracking number from there. good luck.
 
I just know mine is going to show up right after I leave to catch my plane/while I'm gone. I might need to go to the office when I get back late Friday night to grab it, lol. I may or may not have looked up the instructions for getting into the building late at night earlier today...

the other day i called and the lady told me the 19th (even though when i ordered it the website said 18th) and then 5 minutes after hanging up i got my e-mail with tracking number
 
This is my first post on these forums. Hi everyone. I ordered an X in store on the 6th. I was expecting an email confirmation or something and haven't gotten one (like many others, apparently). I called customer service and the guy said he was sure it went out yesterday. He then called back and said he now has no idea if it went out or will go out any time soon. He is the most helpful rep I've ever dealt with in 9 years with Verizon. He even offered to look into it more and call me back tomorrow. Anyone know if he actually has the ability to find info on shipping if it was ordered in store? I don't know what to believe and I'm dying for the phone as much as everyone else in this thread!
 
Ordered on the 4th, Processed on the 5th, and just got home off work to find a new Shipment Confirmation from Verizon. I get it tomorow! Thank god. And they told me now later than the 23rd today. Man they have no clue what they're talking about.

I wouldn't trust the info the reps are being given as far as ship dates. Several have noted that they were told the items were going to be shipped several days, if not weeks, after they actually received it.

Who knows- hopefully you'll be lucky and get your email soon. Mine came with FEDEX info and a tracking link. It's currently in Ontario (CA) but is slated for overnight to be here by tomorrow. I'm pretty confident on shipping since I've actually been provided a shipping tracking number, vs. just being told "should ship by.." crap.

Verizon really had me going twice in the last two days.

1) Last night around 9ish I get a phone call from an 866 # and it's Verizon. My first reaction was that it was one of the CSR's that I spoke to in the last few days calling with a tracking number. My 2nd reaction was that there is a problem with my order. It was neither, the guy asked if I knew I was eligible for an upgrade...lol...I told him I had a Droid X ordered last week and he couldn't get me off the phone fast enough.

2) This happened today at work. I got an email from Verizon and the subject line was Pick your package from Verizon Wireless . I about had a sh!t fit because I didn't see the word "pick". It's just a advertisement directing me to the VZW site for some great deals on combos.

So they got me twice, still no tracking number. I may break down and call tonight since I gave them a day off yesterday.

I got the same runaround today when I called back to ask why I haven't gotten any order confirmation. This is after the rep yesterday telling me it would be shipped yesterday. They're all playing mind games with us. I can just see them sitting there with a bag of cheetos, a crowd gathered around their little cubichell, phone on mute, laughing the most evil laugh ever laughed.
 
I ordered my Droid X on Sunday, August 8th.

I called the Verizon retailer earlier today, where I ordered my phone from. The guy said that he saw the order on my account, but that there wasn't any tracking information yet. He said to call back tomorrow, as these things usually take a couple days. He also stated that they do not send out e-mails for order confirmation or tracking numbers. It was pretty clear that he was talking about e-mails when orders are placed, and not when something is shipped, but he didn't exactly specify. I think he was probably full of it, but I guess we'll see tomorrow. If they give me the same runaround when I call tomorrow, then I think I'm going to have to ask to speak to a manager. If even he gives me crap, I'm going to have to call Verizon CS. I really don't like calling 1-800 numbers. :(
 
Lots of people on this thread need to learn one word.....PATIENCE.

Not everyone, but a lot of you are whining more than a 4 year old on Christmas Eve. Being excited about a new gadget is one thing but geeze!

Face it, thousands of people have ordered the DX. I am sure Verizon's doing every thing they can to make everyone as happy as possible so they can take your money.

Just sit back, relax, take a deep breath, maybe go outside and enjoy the world around you for once.

BTW, I ordered my DX on 8/4 and it got delivered this afternoon. :p
