It is on the charger right now getting the extra 30% to fill it up. My order receipt was 11:10 am last Thursday. It arrived at around 11:00am today, 1 wwek later almost to the minute.

I guess I better hop on over to the GMail site and establish an account. Then down to the VZW store and have the contacts, pics, and stuff transferred. Also need a case. I am way to clumsy to carry this in a pocket.

Later this evening I get to let the other family members with their iphones and stuff drool.

how are you paying $29 for shipping??

when i ordered this morning it just gave me overnight shipping for free. now whether i actually get that or not is a good question.

Just checked the receipt, it was indeed free shipping, got the tightly packed numbers mixed. But its 2 day shipping.
 
Yeah daverdfw, same here. Fedex truck pulled up to the building twice yesterday, the second time delivering my wife's dinc. Its been here once already today. Its psyching me out.

oh ok lol i was like WOAH! that's a lot for shipping to anywhere!

my online order (via browser) said overnight shipping = free
but my actual email confirmation says "shipping = free"
so i guess i'll see when the time comes.
 
Question about shipping. When you look at the VZW homepage it says "free overnight shipping on online orders", but when I ordered, only the 2 day option was free.

The CSR I spoke with last night claimed that it was 2 day shipping since the X is 'backordered'. How has everyone else's orders been shipping?

Edit: I just took a look at my bank acct. Looks like I was actually charged for my phone on the 9th...hrm...hope it ships soon. In any case, even if it ships today, it would appear I'm looking at Monday delivery at the soonest.

Mine is a two-day.

You would think it the other way around. Overnight just because it is backordered, I mean we are customers here.
 
Yeah mine was also the free two day option.. I think you only get the free overnight on "in-stock" items only. The overnight option was an extra $10
 
Now that school has started, I need to change my address to work instead of home (yes, we start insanely early here). Called in and was told they can't change the shipping address until after my phone has been shipped. Doh! Time to see if my wife wouldn't mind camping the door for me, hah...

mine was automatically given free over night shipping. i didn't even have to choose.
however my email confirmation just says "shipping = free"
 
Order placed 8/4. Response to inquiry today(8/12) says ship date 8/19.

Ordered through corporate account (boss wants to see it next to his Iphone 3G).

Gives me more time to absorb more info from the forums...

i ordered thru corporate too, on the same date, so looks like i will get the same ship date as you.
 
When I got the Storm on it's release day I knew NOTHING about it other than what was on the ads.
I now think I know more about the DX(that I don't have yet) than i knew about the Storm after almost 2 years of use :)
Been reading about it on here for at least a month.
 
Another user said they were told by a VZW rep. that they do not ship out products on Saturdays, so I will call again tomorrow to request the status of the order. If it's been shipped, then I'll need to head out to my other household, since that's where the shipping address was set for, (why? no freaking clue).
 
Glad to hear it! I guess we can all stick to expecting around the usual seven day schedule, give or take a day or two.

I ordered in-store as well, around 5:30PM. I'm located in Omaha, NE and I'll say again that I ordered on 8/8. No e-mails or shipping information yet.

ad me to the list of those being given shipping info shortly after getting off the phone with rep and being told it will ship in a couple days.
