Accessories 2150mAh HTC extended battery

just got my 2150 today. i had it shipped to me at work, and i can only charge via USB here. so i've currently got the 2150 installed, the phone is off, and it's charging via USB. can anyone tell me how long their first charge took under similar circumstances? i am dying to get this thing to green and put it through it's paces.

Honestly it took a long damn time . and then once you get to green and uplug it then plug it back in . It will stay orange for about 45minutes before it turns green again.

Man I am loving this battery, only the 2nd day with it.

33% Battery Life
28:20:00 Uptime
7:01:00 Awake Time

I think once it gets broken in, it will easily get me 24hrs up 15awake.
I'm very very impressed

Mine took exactly 3 hours and 2 minutes from FULL discharge (phone shut itself off) to green light. That was after 3-4 charges.

Honestly, on my initial charge I took out my stock battery, put in the 2150, plugged it in and used it while it charged.

I'm getting 2 full days, and and could likely make it through the second night before I have to charge.

When I discharged it fully to calibrate, i had to resort to syncing 12 GB of music over wi-fi, turning EVERYTHING on, full brightness, no screen sleep and played several hours of robo defense just to drain the last few hours.

This battery is likely to cause you to be shot by Libyans in a strip mall parking lot while standing next to your Delorean. It appears to contain enriched plutonium and the shattered dreams of iFans.

FWIW, I'm currently showing:
30hrs and 36 minutes since last unplugged. 7 hours 10min of "awake" time. WiFi always on, BT always on, auto-bright, all my accounts syncing (3 of them every 5 minutes), etc.

I've sent exactly eleventy billion and three texts. Only 29 minutes of voice calls, but that's typical of me as I tend to make multiple VERY SHORT calls. I'm a guy.

I'm currently at 38% battery (Battery Left app), with a projected dead time of 0145.

I should also note that these stats do NOT reflect having an 8 hour period in which I was asleep. I was on duty yesterday, and got to sleep for around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

My basic profile is that I leave for work a little before 7AM, and come back home the next day around the same time. I work 24 hour shifts and don't even bother bringing my charger to work, anymore. I keep a retractable data-sync cable that I could charge with in a pinch, but with dropbox, I don't even use THAT...

This battery is a home run wrapped in a hat trick coated with triple crowns and smothered in grand slams.

And it's good, too.

What constitutes a long damn time? I am in the same boat, delivered to office and only have USB cable... been charging with the phone off for 3 hours now... started at 48% when I put the 2150 in... still orange.

I believe it took me about an hour from the time it went green, I unpluged and replugged in for it to go back to green.
The intial charge I did on a really shitty external charger and it took between 6 and 8 hrs to fully charge

Just got my 2150, it came 50% charged and it currently is at 80% while still charging....

Is there a need to condition this battery?

Not so much for the sake of your battery, but you should cycle it once or twice at least so your phone has an accurate estimation of battery capacity

I got a 2600 mah off ebay. I contacted the seller and told him I was still only getting 12-14 hours, regular battery is 8-10. Should double capacity be double my time?
He said I must have received a defective battery. So he immediately sent me another.
Still I only get 12-14 hours :( on new battery. But at least I have 2 back up batteries.

Don't order it, it's not the HTC battery they have sent everyone who has ordered it a knock off hong kong battery that can be had for $11 on Ebay. There is a thread about it somewhere

EDIT

here's the link to that thread http://androidforums.com/accessories-incredible/105284-15-2600mah-extended-batteries-ebay-5.html

BIG thumnbs down to Overstock. Site listed one thing and I was sent another. A CSR (who was very helpful) sent me another to see if it was a mistake. Turns out it was the same battery I got the first time. Overstock offered me full a refund for my purchase.

Ordered the HTC battery through VZW on Friday (cost me $10 more than Overstock with my corporate discount). Can't wait to get it in hand.

SO first day with my extended battery I charged it all night till it turned green then turned it off and plugged it in and bump charged twice but i think it could've gone all day because every time it would go green I would unplug and then replug it in and it would charge again...Anyways I am currently at 6 1/2 hours of up time and 1 hour of awake time with 76% battery remaining VIA gauge battery widget..

I received mine today!!!

It had 52% when I installed it, so I ran it dead by maxing brightness....running as many apps as possible....and it still took 3 hours.

Charging is almost complete and I cant wait to give it a run. If it lasts 3 hours while abusing it.....I can't wait to find out how long it lasts the way I normally use it.

More to come.

Yesterday was awesome for a first day and I didnt really start to "use" my phone until the later part of the day but I was at 14 1/2 hours of up time with with a little over 3 hours of awake time and my battery was at 12% I ran it almost at full brightness and was playing emulator games the whole time.

I just got my 2150 yesterday, charged it up and am currently letting it run dry.

I can't believe people freaked out about the size, weight, or looks with the 2150 battery. It is completely a non-issue...

OK the times your are getting on the 2150 I am getting on the 1750 seideo battery. I get 27 hours total of up and awake time. I do bump charge and I do not let it go completely dead either. I hit the 14 percent wall I charge it. wifi always on auto brightness and strict on task killer to.

This is why I went to the Seidio 3500, I was only getting about 3-4hrs of awake time more from the Seidio 1750 (or 1550 lol) . Got the 3500 comes with a better back then the 2150 that is barely larger and feels better. And can get 2-4 days of use with everything on

I dont mind the look of the 2150 battery. The phone fits my hand better, it doesnt run outta juice too fast when I want to play games (ROBOdefense and What the Doodle) and I can just leave things one without worrying about if it drains the battery too fast.

Once I cycle it a few times, I will report my typical times and I will also stress test it hardcore. If netflix had an app already, I would be able to drain it constantly haha!!

I'm on the second day of this battery. So far I'm getting around six hours of awake time. Anyone getting more than six? Also are you guys using it until it completely dies to "condition" the battery?

My awake time varied from 5hrs minimum up to 10hrs max.
It all depended on my up time, 5hrs awake meant my up time was very high . 10hrs awake meant my uptime was very low.

I really didn't condition the battery. I would use it until I knew I need a full battery adn i'd change out the battery then put it in my external charger . Usually between 10-20% left
I do notice however even compared to bump charging my batteries last long when charged in the external charger

Could you explain how your uptime was low when your awake time was ten hours?
