Ebay 3000 Mah Chinese Batteries, Worth It?

Yes, it is the 3000 mah battery, not the yoobao or the seidio 3500 mah. ill try alternate recovery thru rom manager

Used the 3000 mAh battery for the first time. It lasted me a lot less than my regular stock or Seidio 1750 mAh batteries. With the same usage I was down to 9% on the 3000 mAh battery compared to around 40-50% on my stock or Seidio ones. I did let the battery fully drain out until the phone turned itself off. I'm using the 2nd battery while I charge the other one with my multi-function Seidio charger. Let's see if this will be better. Will post again, after several cycles and report on my experience with these batteries.
 
I tried the alternate recovery thru rom manager, wipe battery stats in advanced options and it doesnt seem like it did anything

Are you wiping the battery stats when the battery is fully charged?

And if you are after you wipe and reboot does the battery percentage drop to anything under 100%?

yes wiping when 100%, when it says under 100% i reapply same steps til 100%

i didnt even know about wiping stats until last night,however i do use a external charger but could it make that big of a difference that there getting less than stock preformance?
did you get them from the same seller as me? and none of the batteries ever get the advertised mah

Thats what im saying even without doing the battery wipe method to get it to fully charge the battery should still last longer then that:confused:

The seller i got my battery from is "rundacom09"
 
From 100% to 94% in 3 minutes no wireless tether

I have two batteries and I use the desktop cradle for the phone and extra battery
 
yes for a little while, the reason i purchased these was to increase my wireless tether time streaming netflix. im getting better results with the 1500 mah even after trying all the above posted tips. dont think its necessarily the battery, but could possibly be the phone as its prob not resetting battery stats correctly

Wireless tether is a big battery hog but this battery should definitely beat out your stock battery..Somethings fishy
 
i know its a hog, hence the purchase. ive been on the phone for almost 4 hrs with stock battery and wirelessly tethering the whole time. figured that the 3000 would give me at least 6. best ive been able to do is under 3 hrs with the 3000

You figured Correctly it should definitely give you more then stock

Do you have a external charge at your disposal?

maybe defective battery can you check the temp of the battery? does it get really hot with little use?
 
i have external charger, i have used both batteries in them. im rooted by simple root, ive wiped battery stats in the advanced options thru clockwork in the bootloader and thru the phone by rom manager alternate recovery

If you battery cant last longer then your stock even when being charged externally..Something is wrong with the battery:(

The stress test i did on my 3000mah would of killed my Stock Battery in half the time
 
the batteries i bought are from ebay user weyong.. they look exactly like the ones u got with the htc evo sticker. i really think the phone isnt wiping battery stats.
 
What one beast said. Im on first charge and I'm at 20 % left. Been off charge for 11 hours under heavy heavy use.
 
some1 try using wireless tether constant on with all radios on including bluetooth. im able to get right at 4 hrs stock battery. less than 3 with these chinese ones

Ok, today will be the test under "Normal use" yesterday I tortured the phone with a lot of youtube videos, streaming pandora, downloading songs, video clips, etc and got almost 13 hours of use before the phone died at 4 AM this morning. Phone has been off charge and awake time at 1 hour 25 minutes and still at 97% percent. I'm thinking this thing will last till tomorrow evening. I do stream a lot of Pandora throughout the day also.

Hi Neoshi, so do you recommend the yoobao battery? worth to try? and do you think it fits this cradle with the extra cover on? seems that part in connection is not affected

So far it seems pretty good. But I'm not sure if its any different from the ebay ones. I plan on sending to batteryboss to compare. Id wait for the results to decide. As for the dock, I'm not sure but my guess is it would not fit well and may even bend the usb port.

I might get an ebay battery to compare myself.
Oh yeah I charged the battery in the phone while I slept in OFF from 0% and it seems to have charged much better than while ON. Have yet to see if it will do as well as external charging.
