Accessories Free full body Stealth Guard protector (shipping around $3)

I got my stealthguard today. Not bad, but not great either. I did not put it on the screen, just the back of the phone. I already purchased a MUCH better cystal screen protector. The worst part for me was trying to seperate each peice without stretching it and punching out the tiny holes for the mics. Overall, I give it a 6/10. If I were using the actual screen part, maybe lower. What do we expect for $3 right?

Out of curiosity, what are the dates of purchase for those whose orders have shipped?

I ordered on the 13th and have yet to hear anything...

Why do you say crystal is much better? I'm under the impression all these screen protectors are made from the same stuff.

I already did a complete cover with BestSkin but I figured I try this one on the screen at least when I get it.

This is definately NOT the same stuff. The Crystal is MUCH harder and MUCH thinner. This material is sticky. It will do a decent job of protecting your phone, but I will not be putting it on my screen. I have mine on the back and top only.

There are several that claim they were made for the military to protect helicopter blades, blah, blah, blah. I know from experience, that if it's not the same, it's damn close between gadgetguard, phantom skinz and zagg. They are soft in nature like the generic one that comes on the phone when it's shipped, but they are applied with a supplied solution, or soap and water (aka "wet" application). There are several like that, but I don't know them all. There are the ones that are applied with just a static (aka "dry" application) that at least to me, aren't as good (Verizon sells these). I also know there are some available that are more rigid, but seem to be more expensive. I don't know who makes those, but I think that would give the best protection. I have a PS on my X now, and I've used GG in the past and can vouch for both. The static ones suck, IMHO. Never tried the "hard" ones. I haven't gotten my Stealth ones yet, but I imagine them to be similar to the PS, GG and zagg.

There may also be other materials used, so feel free to chime in with your experiences...

Well I knew all that. I was assuming Crystal was a soft zagg like material. My bad
I knew there were other types I guess I should have clarified;)

Damn it! Why can't you people read my mind?!

I placed an order and received confirmation of said order on Aug. 13th. I have yet to receive any notice of the item shipping. I emailed Stealth Guard CS and hope to hear from them soon.

Strange that there isn't a number I can call...

Anyone else still waiting?

Edit: order was shipped out today...

got mine today lol comes inside the printed order form no instructions...you cant even tell whats what..

agree what a joke....it says goto the website for instructions.. they have a video which shows them using a wet solution, it dont say what it is....they dont give you any..... this must be a prank or something lol

there are no "detailed" instructions. I tried emailing about what is this "wet solution" but I have yet to hear anything back.

Anyone know how to actually install this thing

yep. the online instructions aren't worth the time it takes to type in the address.. but having done a few before i got the gest of it.. i all ready have ghost armor on the screen. so the screen protector was never gonna go on. but for 3.00, i thought a little protecting on the back would be good. and the back is ok. it has some orange peal, but will do the job if your setting on your desk/table our whatever. the little piece that goes on the right of the camera, to me is a good thing. gives you just enough extra to keep the camera from lying flush on something..and the two front pieces that go on the top and down by the home keys are garbage..but with the back pieces on it does give you some grip...so for 2.85 im ok with it. but if it were say, 4.85 maybe not so much..but ive pissed 3bucks away on way worse stuff..

I agree bob. I use mine on the back and top. It was difficult to remove from the paper, but I used something to help seperate it. Poking out the holes was tough too. After a few days it looks better than when first applied. I did NOT install it wet either.

What a piece of crap. I'm so pissed off right now. What a god damn waste of my time. YouTube video (with music??) for instructions? No solution? No extra skin (as promised in the FAQ). The body protection looked bad (but not awful if I could manage to not touch the back side while applying), maybe I didn't give it enough time on on.... but I ripped it all off a s-caned it after try to put the screen portion on.

I don't care if it was 1$, this was a rip-off. I'm sure I'll get nowhere w/ their support.

EDIT: DID I MENTION HOW MAD I AM?
