Did the mods REALLY move the official

" Droid incredible 2.2 Froyo OTA update discussion thread"

to the "ROOT" sub-forum

the one that discusses the "official" release update and has been in the main section for WEEKS...

seriously?

 
Ok, I'm temporarily withdrawing 3 of the x kudos I extended to the mods recently. They will be returned when this is fixed...

Have a link to the thread? I'll look into it and see if I can figure out why it was moved. It is very possible that it was not intentionally moved...?

Keep in mind, I RARELY stop into the Dinc forums so I have no idea what thread you are talking about.


Now, let's TRY to keep this from going the same path as the other thread.... :)
 
Got the PM Euph_22, looking into it now!

I'll update as soon as I have an idea of what happened. In the meantime, sit tight! :)

Ok, it appears as though there were multiple threads merged (a few root related) and in the process, the thread in question was sent to the root forum. Likely, this was where one of the threads that was merged with the thread in question was from.

I've moved it back to the DInc section as I don't see any reason for it being in the root section.

Was this a sticky before? Please let me know so I can resticky it if needed.


However, if I may, feel free to report the thread in the future and ask it to be moved. It will likely get you quicker results and will help keep the forum running a bit smoother! :) :) Or feel free to PM me if I'm online and I'll look at it and see what I can figure out.
 
My bad, that was me that did it. I was browsing the root forum from my phone earlier this afternoon and someone made a thread that didn't have anything to do with root but rather 2.2. I didn't make sure the "Destination forum" was the main one, as it defaults to the thread you clicked first, in which case, it was in the root forum, so by accident, I hit merge thus it got merged into the root one instead of the other way around.

Totally my fault, I apologize.

Edit: Maybe I should stop merging threads from the phone:o
 
Wasn't sure which way this thread was gonna go..... Thankfully it seems to be good natured,(wasn't sure for a min) may i suggest a name change, even if the 'whiner' is banned at the moment i can totally see some people reading thread title and coming in here ready to stir the pot.
Just saying.

Okay, I stickied that 2.2 update thread for the time being, until Verizon in their infinite wisdom actually decides upload it to your devices. Once they do, the thread will be unstickied.
