Finally got around to rooting and screencapping, here's mah droid...

You need a barcode reader program, like Barcode Scanner or ShopSavvy.

Just fire up the program, take a pic of it on your computer screen and it will find it in Market or the home website.

Thanks, I guess I had worded it wrong though. lol! I had fancy widgets all installed and could click to the weather area which was blank but it said "no weather data" or something like that. Then I found the settings but still could not seem to get the weather to show. Maybe I had to run outside and let the GPS do it's thing, I dunno

Anyhoo, I disabled the widget and found that "Beautiful Widgets" one or whatever it's called that also shows weather on the home screen and it's working fine.

Heres my current layout on my rooted DX (or was yesterday at least) nothing special or new, just got ideas from what i've seen from others and organized how i liked it

lockscreen: widget locker w/ sense lockbar, tajim, and battstatt



mainscreen: launcher pro plus, nexus revamped pro live wallpaper with a background from zedge, battstatt, weather and toggle with glass clock, icons are kind of a mashup of droid and others ive picked up along the way

alt screen: agenda 4x4

there are a few more screens but theyre just launcherpro widgets: calendar, bookmarks, and messaging

Whats the name of the app your using for the sticky note??

sticky note is the stock widget that comes with the Droid X. You can select 4 different colors (yellow, pink, blue, green)

After using the free version of Launcher Pro on my Droid X for the past few weeks I bought the full version last night but not really had time to play with it.
Aside from re-sizing widgets what else does the full version enable me to do? Are there Themes avilable for it that I can now use?
I have seen some of your amazing UI's and am eager to start messing with mine.

3 different docks at 5 icons each which means 15 different shortcuts. LPP recently added swipe gesture to each dock icon which doubles the number of shortcuts to 30.

Homepage can rotate.

Up to 7 homescreens.

3D app drawer.

Just a cool way to customize the phone...

So the app that allows you to bundle certain groups of apps together is folder organizer, not app organizer?

Folder Organizer is the updated version of App Organizer.. as in, FO can do the bundling that AO can and more.

It annoys the crap out of me that folder organizer images need to be ever so slightly wider to fit the last column of icons....i had to stop using it.

I still use FO mainly to bundle apps and use it as a single icon folder. I used to do the same thing as you where I'd have the group bundled as an open folder. But something different annoyed me about FO which was the border since it looked like more clutter on the screen.

working on a text only, minimalist look. Anybody know of a way to hide the icon labels on the home screen?

If you use LaucherPro, Preferences > Appearance Settings > Hide icon labels.

I'd like to use the little Droid icons you see on the Social Networking page.

I changed my back ground and lock screen again and I'm going to keep it this way for a while. I think this background works better with the semi-transparent icons.

That is widgetlocker, you can put any Widgets on your lockscreen and also have custom sliders.

He's using WidgetLocker. With it, you can place widgets and other forms of shortcuts on your lockscreen. You can also customize the general appearance and overall layout of almost everything. However, it isn't free. There is a small price.

I actually found a very small icon pack awhile back, and for the life of me I can't remember where or what it is called (I renamed it when I first downloaded it).

A majority of the icons you see are custom made by myself; I never thought of making an updated pack, but if there's enough interest, I would. Maybe a white band black set?

Lol yes its BW with a clock skin called c4rbon_fib3r_alloy and a custom red text color. And the custom red yankee logo ties it all together

Its not an app you open. Its a widget. Long press on the home screen to find it
