What's your coolest/favorite ringtone?

Ringtone: crank
Email: old spice guy singing the theme "do do do" style
sms: one of the default "pop" sounds. I like the power rangers one above though, a little long sadly :(

Thew in a couple other ringtones I've used, mainly for specific people. (A family member took a fall and busted her ankle pretty bad so I gave her the keyboard cat song.)

Mm, good suggestions. Liked the Breaking Benjamin song. Gonna listen for the killswitch engage one. Btw, anyone have problems with having a custom notification sound stay?

I cut my own mp3 and put it in the SD cards Media>Audio>Notifications folder but it still switched back to the original somehow...I really want a badass guitar chop to be my notification sound

I've had a few Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin songs as well, but being in the South, I don't think my Louisiana friends wanna hear "if it keeps on raining, the levee's gonna break." I'm sure they know that by now.

A couple of buddies of mine have this little Jackass/Kenny vs. Spenny thing going on right now where we constantly ruin each other with pranks. The other night we made a voice recording of us calmly saying all the swears and racial slurs we knew into a 30 second clip. Made it his ringtone and let the good times roll. Texts, email, calls, etc. It would play all the way through, even if he checked his messages or took a call.

That's my favorite ringtone I'd never use.

I had a similar issue and moved all my sounds/alerts to the internal storage. Haven't had an issue since.

I'm guessing when I was plugged in to the computer and have the drives mounted, it tried to play from the SD card (which was unmounted on the phone) and instead defaulted to the ones on internal storage. Just a guess though.

you can always trim it down using ringdroid. Mine is only about a second
 
Amusingly, when you line up the ends of the oldspice and power rangers clips, they're the same tempo with roughly the same pitches (though out of key.)

Here it is in mp3. 1.3 seconds. A little long for my tastes but I already chopped it down so posting it for someone that only gets the occasional sms and may like it :)

This thread's gotten pretty good and its got quite a few good notification sounds for people to use ^_^ I myself have taken a few.

I'm gonna see if I can add a couple of my own! I've got some pretty sweet ones I cut myself for the rockers out there. This is what they are:

Beginning of "faces" by scary kids scaring kids, "Numb" by linkin park, Eye of the Tiger, "beat it" guitar riff by fallout boys.

Perhaps you guys can tweak em a bit with ringdroid if you want. But I'll tell you what I hate about ringdroid; It only shows music on your SD card from what I can tell, and all my music is on my internal....it just ticks me off, uninstalled it.

Chaka Khan "Ain't nobody" - Chorus! (Yes really!!!)



It is pure coincidence that I listed Godsmack at 20 seconds, Lacuna Coil at 15 seconds and Staind at 10 seconds, it just worked out that way when they were trimmed! :confused:

And I'd like to add that I'm going to make that Staind song intro my notification sound, that'll be awesome. Maybe just the first 2 1/2 seconds. Thanks again for the suggestion jayjay

Lacuna Coil is a rock band from Italy that sings most of their songs in English. They are usually shorter songs. and I do not like all of their stuff but they have a nice, unique sound.

Heard them on XM a few years ago totally by accident!


The timing thing was weird because I did not even notice it till I posted in this thread...It was just that those parts of the songs is what I wanted. Probably could not pull that off if I tried to intentionally! ;)
 
This first one is the one and only ringtone I've found that I've really enjoyed. The others are just a few I would send in if interested.

I usually set up personalized ringtones so that I don't end up with the same thing over and over, which gets tiring. That, and I know immediately who is calling:)

Some example are "Mutter by Rammstein" for my mom ( Formerly the Imperial March, but don't tell her that one:P )

Currently I use a lot of either Rammstein ( Such as Rammlied ) and Blind Guardian ( Such as Curse of Feanor )

Yes, I use mostly heavy metal songs for my ringtone...theres never any question when it's my phone ringing:)
 
Mine is Jay-z's verse from "Power" "Rumble young man rumble. Life is a trip, so sometime you're gonna stumble"....

I'm a boxer so the "Rumble young man rumble" was what made me ringtone it. :)
