thanks to all that uploaded the scanner option to still get fancy widgets!
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

Thanks a million for this information.I surprised myself and got the barcode app to work! I now have fancy widgets and happy as a clam!! Thanks soooo much for posting for us.
If you like the Barcode Scanner I highly recommend that you try Shop Savvy. It will use your device's camera to read the UPC barcode off of merchandise and then shop Internet and local retailers (GPS enabled) to find the best pricing.

I had the same problem initially. Try activating your GPS. If your GPS is turned off Fancy Widget will not know which city's weather to put up.
"USE WIRELESS NETWORKS" Activate it in LOCATION AND SECURITY.
It does not require you to activate GPS. I just did this and works for me.
ok don't bite my finger, look where I'm pointing. All I'm saying is that the app needs your location to get weather, either GPS or use wireless networks will accomplish this.
yup but the only thing is, GPS will consume more battery I believe.
Not necessarily and even IF true, irrelevent. Once your Fancy Widget finds your location you can shut off GPS or Wireless Network location as the app now knows your location.
The only time you would need to turn GPS or Wireless Networks is if you change location. It does not need to remain on for weather updates.

. I did not know that! So I can just set it and forget it....Wonderful....this is such a helpful site
!!Do a search on Android Marketplace and you will find it.does anyone have the link for beatifull widget![]()

I've played with alot of diff. Weather apps and think Fancy Widgets is one of the best. I have a little too much time on my hands, so I really do try them all; Fancy Widgets looks great and is free. It's actually a Widget that you don't have to do anything extra to see the weather and unlike Beautiful Widgets, doesn't really drain your battery (from what I read, not experience)
Love to take a screen shot but it looks bad through my webcam (8MP) and don't have or know which screen grab app to use???
Hope that helped...
If your looking for a widget that looks great, this is it.
I found it on the web, not in the marketplace......
Fancy Widgets is a freebie teaser app with limited feature. If you like what you see so far, for a few dollars I would highly recommend Weather & Toggle Widget (aka Weather Widget Donate). This paid version gives you over 150 skins, 3 different size widgets, but best of all I absolutely love the animation of rolling clouds, lightening, dripping rain drops & windshield wiper action with the free Weather Forecast Addon app.I've played with alot of diff. nice program but still sucks the life out of your battery just as bad as b widgets does.
i keep going back to the weather channel app. i think it's the best one. doesn't take up half your screen displaying the clock which doesn't make much sense to me since the time is displayed in the status bar and the weather is always accurate.
