That is what I am wondering as well.

I ordered over the phone with the local store on the 17th.

So far I can't get any info from my order number on the web site.
 
Hmmm...this is strange.

I ordered the phone, a silicone case, and a belt holster on 8/20. The VZW web site showed a ship by date for the phone of 9/6, but I got a shipping confirmation this morning showing that the phone went out today, but the accessories still haven't shipped!

I even called VZW to confirm thinking that the accessories were coming first.

I'm not sure why my phone shipped early but I'm not complaining.

Where are you located at? That is wild. I'm not hatin' or anything, but that's messed up on Verizon's part knowing that there are customers who placed orders earlier than that. Anyways congrats on your phone man.

I'm in New York.

I dunno...I get an "employee discount" through my
employer so maybe there's some other privileges there?

...apologizing in advance for anyone I may have leapfrogged over to get a phone...

you lucky lucky man you... lol i ordered my phone a day after you so maybe ill be getting an email soon saying that my phones have shiped.... would be nice but i dont think it will happen

Well, this is the other strange part, which is one of the reasons I called VZW this morning.

I got a confirmation at around 7:40 AM EST with an order number I didn't recognize. I got a second confirmation at around 9:05 AM EST with the order number I received when I placed the order.

I figured VZW split the order and that one was accessories and the other was phone, but looking at both confirmations they both had the same tracking number.

I could search my order status online with the order number that came with the second confirmation but not with the first. When I called VZW the rep found my order under the first order number but not the second (the one I got when I placed the order).

The rep confirmed that the phone shipped but not the accessories.

I have a question, maybe you guys can help. I ordered in the store, new service, my wife got her Samsung Reality at the store, they rang up the Reality and the DX on the same receipt. Am I going to have trouble with the DX rebate? I think we already sent the original receipt (maybe it was just the rebate form, can't recall, was the receipt required?) with the Reality's rebate. Any thoughts? Does the shipped DX come with the paperwork needed for the rebate?

Usually the original receipt isn't required for rebates, but I would think you should be able to request a duplicate at the store if needed.

This apparently is an important factor as the e-mail received from Verizon stated that "orders where payment was taken on 8/11 will ship by 8/26", so it seems to be the date when payment is taken, which may differ from the date that you initially placed the order, that affects the shipping dates.

Anyways, the package was picked up in Memphis at 4:22PM on 8/22 with a shipping notice e-mail containing tracking information received at 6:55PM that same day. It is currently out on the truck for delivery, I expect it to arrive around 1:15 or so this afternoon as FedEx is very regular with their delivery in this area. The weight for the package suggests that it is the phone and accessories.

Mine is the same as yours, same order date, picked up in Memphis at 5:40 pm, but this is all my tracking info says!

Anyone else still having trouble with the Verizon online order tracking site??

I have entered my order # and Location code (using proper Caps) and the site keeps saying either technical difficulties or currently unavailable?

I ordered mine on the phone 8/14 and am guessing it should ship any day...but it is frustrating that I can not track it online.:confused::mad:

an update for today. Delivery was tried but I wasn't home so I'm going to pick the phone up today.

Ordered: 8/13
Shipping info: 8/20
Date received: 8/24

Right on schedule.

I am so frustrated right now I just had to make an account on here been reading everyones problems and good news and now I can share my news.
Ordered in store Aug 13 around closing time. ship by date is the 30th. but when I talked with a Rep last Friday he said that I live in-between 2 warehouses: the Memphis one and the Dallas one. He told me that more than likely i'd get tracking info by Monday. still nothing. and get this:
just came from droidxforums and someone there is from Tennessee ordered same day I did and now they have there shipping confirmation.
I don't know if Paycer still reads this thread or not but i remember his posts haha. his posts have been the thing that has gotten me through this whole ordeal. but nonetheless I now know what he was talking about I feel the same way. people have ordered after me and they're already getting there devices before I do.. its just frustrating...
