Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

mate how do you find the GPS on ur phone ? I use the brut's gmaps and navigation it works gr8 for me , I find location is always perfect for me but while driving becomes off course at times and specially at turns it responds slow .... hows us ?

There is a TV-out option...at least i have that option. And about the flash...how often do you use it? Its totally crappy on most phones. If there aint nuff light, dont use the cam :P or simply light some bulbs :)

TV out is there of course on every version of SGS, I have it too :) and it works very well.

Flash is needed at times but yeah can live without it, this phone is the best so far :)

I use it almost for every drive in city and on highway ... having such a costly phone and this feature is the most I want ... hope samsung fix the GPS issues also with next official firmware release ... waiting for it :)

Be careful ! Keep both eyes on road ! Don't use gps ! :D

Hey Kalpik ! How do you sign the framework-res.apk ? Do you use Ninjamorph and pull that custom framework-res.apk by ADB or some other special signing tool do you use and then push that to /system/framework/ ??? Would you plz help me ! I'm very interested in this topic. Do you use Hex Editor ?

EDIT: Please let me know what the procedure you use to sign the framework-res.apk.
 
Guys can we take backup of contacts and messages through Titanium Backup? I tried and it didnt worked for me. It just took the backup of all apps.

Definitely Nick ! Apply filter to system.....the data you must backup is highlighted with green....you can see contact there and msgs also.
EDIT: Bypassing the hazard to backup one by one you can run a batch from menu "Backup all user apps + system data". That will do everything for you. But don't forget about the settings. Otherwise it would freeze to restore.

Reboot the system to see the changes.
