Hello everyone
As I wrote earlier in the thread I have been having issues with the "bright" super Amoled screen of the Galaxy S which cause strain
I am thinking of getting a Anti-glare screen protector now. Do you guys think it would make things better?
Also is there any way or app to make the messaging system normal instead of the default threaded system?

Anti-glare screen protectors will dim the screen. But as for how much, not sure. The more "matt" it is, the darker the screen, but the foggier it will look.
What are you guys using your TV-out for? I had a TV-out cable for my PSP, but the quality on a larger screen just looks horrible...

You can just install Astro with the SMB module, then you can just share a folder on your PC and access it via the Phone

I don't think the Galaxy S kernel has CIFS module..

Kalpik which firmware is better in your opinion ... the 'new' JM1 or the recently released JM6 ... Also should i lag fix them ? Thanks ...

yup JM6 is best till now. I have installed many apps and its performance is still better than DDJG4.
Did any of you have tried full version of NFS shift? Its a very good game with some good graphics. But its very short game .No doubt that SGS is best in graphics as of now in market.

Buddy thanks for your help. I restored all my settings successfully. I was making very stupid mistake.Everything was in front of my eyes and yet i was not looking to it.

Use 'BackLight!' App in the market. Then create a screen widget for BackLight! settings widget. Set the custom screen values to (0,0,0,0). Re-Assign the swipe-up/down actions of ADW-launcher to activate the BackLight! app. Works like a treat.

Hey Kalpik ! How do you sign the framework-res.apk ? Do you use Ninjamorph and pull that custom framework-res.apk by ADB or some other special signing tool do you use and then push that to /system/framework/ ??? Would you plz help me ! I'm very interested in this topic. Do you use Hex Editor ?
EDIT: Please let me know what the procedure you use to sign the framework-res.apk.

Yes ! I downloaded JM6 yesterday from the 2nd link. It was the very first link in google search. But the 1st link is not opening yaar. Even I tried on a new virtual machine with the Host-Only option....still no luck ! That means it's not a problem of my existing OS....something other.
How you are mate ? Feeling weak ?

I work regularly on Photoshop...I'm quite interested on these types of modifications.*system APKs should NOT be signed*......most probably this is why Ninjamorph doesn't work with user apps. Isn't it ? (tried to modify Handcent SMS icon...didn't work....but modified framework-res.apk successfully...but it's a hectic job to do all those stuffs on mobile).

^^Yes ! I am interested to do that...but it's a verrry verrry time consuming job...I didn't know that System APK shouldn't be signed. That's why I couldn't step forward. BTW, this should be the the reason for which Ninjamorph doesn't work with user apps (edit: and works with system apk) ?

^^I changed the Notification bar to a transparent glassy look, slightly beveled....which perfectly matched with any wallpaper I used....also changed the home system icons. But couldn't change the icons of user apps. Cause I don't know how to sign an APK successfully

Just flashed to jm6 ... its really responsive !! No lag fix needed .. got 8 widgets running plus 80 apps and almost no lag ... plus my gps seems to be fixed , its finally showing my location in mumbai , accurate to 30m indoors , which is quite good ...
Is there a way to arrange all my icons in the applications menu by alphabetical order ? It gets sorted in list view , but when i revert back to grid it goes away .. Manually moving 80 apps in a particular order will take a lot of time .....

Use a Launcher. Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher.
Launcher Pro Plus 7.6 : RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

I prefer Launcher Pro now after the swipe gesture feature.
