Ladies and Gentlemen...

The update will NOT hit every single phone at once, nor will it hit every single phone today or even the next few days!

This is an incremental roll out and can take as long as a couple of weeks. They normally roll out a couple thousand updates the first day, gauge progress etc, and then ramp up from there.

Bottom line, its officially released, its starting today and you could get it any time from right now till the next week or two.

As others have said, you cannot force it, it will come to your phone at random!

***remember, this forum is probably 1% of all Incredible users out there--just because you don't see it on your phone means nothing. ;)


EDIT: Yes, I posted this in another thread that was locked earlier, just thought it was worth repeating. :D

Should just pop up and ask u update now or later. Us Googlers have our contacts saved on Google Cloud (or we all should at least). You can always back up your contacts by going into contacts pressing menu, going to import/export and exporting the phone contacts (the Google Contacts will automatically sync back) The update should delete anything though.

Yeah, like crazy sadistic parents that won't let you open your parents until your relatives arrive late at night, but then they want to go straight to bed and celebrate christmas tomorrow.

Went to the Verizon store on battery street in San Francisco. Grabbed one of the demo incredibles and hit system update and saw that it had already downloaded the update and was verifying the package.

Asked the rep when I could get it on my phone and he said sometime over the next two week. Gee thanks buddy!!

why dont they have a plugin update like sprint. seems like it would be more efficient to have people do it over their own internet through an updater.
