Help Facebook Contact pictures

I have the same issue on my HTC Desire (running FroYo). I prefer to use photo's I've chosen from my gallery for some of my contacts. But the Favourites widget keeps changing the photos back to the FB photos. It's starting to annoy the hell out of me. I never had this issue on my trusty old HTC Hero (running Cupcake).

Does anybody have a fix???
 
Ok, this is off topic, but how can I have facebook account on my accounts tab and NOT have the contacts on my phonebook? I just want the ones Ive added myself in the phone memory! I can sync pics manually!
 
maybe its just me but.... it seems that after the froyo update my contact's facebook pictures and status messages seem to update a lot more frequently

It's just you.

Since my Froyo update I lost most of my contacts photos (Randomly only the ones who'd changed their photos since the last time I synced it) and now have to go through the old account remove and re-add dance. :mad:
 
Same problem here. :(

I rooted my phone and loaded LeeDroid 2.0a last night. Everything seems to work fine EXCEPT I lost all contact pics!!!! :mad:


I used SyncMyPix app and it works for me. However, the name in phonebook has to be exactly the same as the one of Facebook. Othwerise, it won't sync.

I have Froyo and my fav pics in the widget won't update.

Was the solution ever found to this?! Highly annoying having pix that are months old on there!

This. Although FroYo did make it update a lot more frequently, occasionally contact photos with disappear entirely when a contact changes their profile picture.

The odd thing this time is, that although I removed and re-added Facebook for HTC Sense it did not re-add all the contact photos. In fact, under Directories, some of my friends no longer exist as Facebook friends, when they in fact are. These same friends are the ones without the contact photos now.
 
I have a Droid X, and I used the Android Facebook widget. Started Facebook up, hit the "return" or "go back" key or whatever they call it. The one with the back arrow. It gives you a menu. I hit the "photos" button, which showed me my albums. I picked the "Profile pics" album, chose a picture, and it let me set that picture as my picture on "contacts."

I am going to try the SyncMyPics app and see if that works on Droid X. The reviews on that software don't look very good, though. I guess it can't hurt anything (too much!) :cool:
 
Hi All,

I have jsut got my Desire so haven't experienced any of these problems before. However, does anyone know how to sync the newly updated facebook details which have been linked with exchange contact card and update the exchange contract card with these "new" details?
