Music problem

Some of the albums I put on the sd card just don't show up in the player, the odd thing also is that I put a picture of the album art in the folder too that shows up in the picture gallery. But, for those certain albums that dont show up, neither do the album art in the gallery.

Any suggestions?

They're all just mp3's just like ALL the other albums, all the media info is filled out on the files just like all the other albums too, I'm just dumbfounded, and then the album art jpg's dont show in the gallery either

That happened to me so I just deleted the songs and re-copied them to the sd card. And does anybody have the problem that an artist will show up as unkown... Example: There is an artist called "That Kid C-G" Is it because it starts with "That" anybody else have this problem. And he is just called unknown artist and put under an album called "Music"

I did delete it and re copy, still doesnt show up, i even got a different file for the album covers too and nothing.

I tried the app and no luck, neither the music or pictures show up still. It just those two albums and two pictures too, and thats the part that really bothers me.

Did you get the music from itunes? If they are DRM files that might be why they arent showing up

No I didnt use itunes, just clicked and dragged the mp3's and jpg's to the sdcard like all my other pics and music

Most of them yea, but whats weird is it doesnt read that the pictures are there. like I can open the pictures and play the music from astro, but they dont show up in the gallery or player

Well I figured out the problem, the albums started with periods, and apprently the phone wouldnt read them so I renamed the folders and all is fine. Thanks for trying to help all

Didn't know the Zune did that - very interesting.

Thanks for the troubleshooting *and* for reporting back.

The phone will read them just fine. The period means that it's hidden though.

Sounds like a problem with the tags in your music files.

all of my music was tagged and "album arted" using the zune software...and i would say 95% of it show up correctly in the music player. it was so easy for me to ditch the zune :)
