Official 4G/WiMAX Coverage Areas

not sure if other cities are showing this too but the map for RI is totally off, you can actually tell by the shape of the coverage that should be at the shore but is shifted and showing a lot of coverage in Narragansett bay, the whole coverage layer on the map is shifted about 5-10 miles. Might lose clear some customers, since people putting in their address will get wrong info.

Yeah we noticed this with the Kisimmee area here in Florida when we use the zip it shows the wrong area, however when we use the city it shows the correct area.

4G in Bayonne NJ

9/3/2010 - Got a 4G signal at 35W and 494 south today in Best Buy's parking lot (a few miles west of Mall of America). I had read that 4G was showing up in Brooklyn Park, Rogers, and other areas including Bloomington, Minnesota.

BUT, its still in 'testing'. The speedtest was .5Mbps download and .5Mbps upload. 3G testing at the same location was 1Mbps download and .3Mbps upload. The 4G isn't of any benefit as its apparently being throttled.

So Minnesota, be patient...its almost here

There has been a tower on for the past month by my house, i get 8.5Mbps down 1.01 up...all sitting on my couch in plymouth off 394 :)

It is working near the airport too.

On a drive through Walnut Creek, Ca I picked up 4G for the first time. I got .23 Mbps down, .06 up! Not at all what i was hoping for! Good thing 3G still works in the area!

Burnsville near the mall has around a 5-8meg down and 1-2 up. It's spotty all over Mcandrews from near the khols to the Zoo.

Were getting there guys. HOLD ON!

I am not talking about that, what i am seeing is the green parts that show coverage are shifted about 5-10 miles to the South and East. The only reason i can tell is because RI has a lot of coast, so on Narragansett bay there is a bunch of coverage for some reason in odd forms which don't make since until you look at the coastline and see that the outline of the coverage is the same as the cost line where it should be. For instance if i zoom and pan to my street it says i have no coverage even though i get 2 bars on my deck, and 1 inside. Also, when i first heard about 4g being turned on I went to the site to see where it was available so i could test it out. One place i was going to that day said it had great coverage, but when i was there I got no 4g.

All of West Broomfield and Old town Louisville have 4g. The intersection of Wads and the turnpike its full bars. Old town Louisville and south are full bars.
I drove down 6th av from I-25 and its a strong signal for a few miles west bound. Nothing south of there yet. Boulder is still a nogo.

Yea, hoping for more coverage soon. SE area here is even rough with 3G sometimes.

Denver should be removed from that list. For awhile you could pick up 4G on like a 5 block area of downtown but I can't even get that anymore. There are towers EVERYWHERE but none activated yet. Been waiting FOREVER.

Well after months of reporting that I've gotten a 4G signal throughout some parts of the (NY) city, never did I get a signal at my home in South Ozone Park, Queens NY. Actually one of my evos somehow lost the capability to get any 4G signal for about a month now ever since I rooted and installed a custom rom.
But last night I set the other evo to 4G at home and bingo, a strong signal. that alone shocked me cause I have my network setup in the basement of a brick house and didn't think the signal would come through, but it did. Went outside to double check and the signal was excellent. Yippee.
makes me wonder that it won't be long before they officially announce it for the whole city.

Side note: I went ahead and unrooted back to version 1.6 and the EVO that lost the signal got it back. So I figure it may be the rom that I installed that was the cause of the problem. I'll try to root again and see if the 4G signal doesn't get lost.

4G in King if Prussia, PA. It is close to Philadelphia, but you actually lose 4G in between. Very strong signal too. I've hit anywhere from 5.5 - 7.3 down :)

I'm getting 4G in So. St. Paul with 6+ mb down and 1+ mb up. Also gets coverage while driving on Hwy 52 through St. Paul and 35E and 36. It stops as I get closer to 694. Seems like most of the south metro gets 4G coverage. Although it is more spotty than not. I did get 4G while at the Northtown area a couple months ago so it's getting around.

In the second floor of the Bally's on Kendall and 107th in Miami I get a weak 4G signal. The fastest I have seen with speedtest.net is 3.3Mbps. I actually stayed an extra hour at the gym sitting at a corner playing with the phone.

Still nothing like I got in LA around the airport - 8Mbps. This waiting game is frustrating!

Hey guys, I just to Lakewood, CO (from Littleton...not too far away), and I just got over 9Mbps! Down in my room (in the basement), i only get about 1-2Mbps, but outside, the signal is great.

Turned on 4g button just out of curiosity, suprise we have it where I live on Long Island, NY. Haven't used its capabilities yet as I'm waiting for my bigger battery to arrive because I hear it sucks it up worse than having everything running.

What part of long island u at?

I am right off exit 39 on LiE and have no signal yet.

And yes it sucks up battery big time. I was in Beverly hills last month with a strong 4g signal ans my battery was dead in about 5 hours.

Wish we had it in Smithtown!

What part of LI. My part, south western Nassau, does not even have the network infrastructure in place yet

I'm 2 miles east of the MSP airport...no 4G so far. Also, I track highway 36 and 35E in St. Paul. Can't pick up any 4G there either.
BUT the good news is, in Woodbury, MN off Valley Creek road by Super Target, I had great 4G coverage with 7.5Mbps down and .9Mbps up on Sunday 9/12/2010.
