are you using Facebook for Android?

Just curious as how people are using Facebook for Android currently. The newest version on the market (1.3.2) will keep my phone awake 100% of the time and version 1.2 will no longer work correctly for me. Any Facebook users describe what you are doing to get around this please as using the browser is irritating...
 
im fairly certain i have the most up to date version and i dont notice any problems. Also using the FB widget from LauncherPro Plus

NO lol, I refuse to go that route simply because of shitty development, I appreciate the suggestion though.
 
seriously..if i was an iphone user and saw the facebook official app for android..i wouldn't even bother switching over..makes android look like a joke

needs a SERIOUS update..scratch that..UPGRADE!!
 
The Facebook for Android works fine for me. However, I don't like it at all. I use the browser instead, but keep it set to mobile, that way it always brings up the Touch version of facebook, which I believe is the FB for HTC Sense. I find it to work much better and if there is something I can't do with it, then the full site is only one touch away.
 
www.touch.facebook.com is leaps and bounds better than that horrible app. And with the 2.1 update, it comes preloaded on the Sprint Hero. Awesome! The only time I use the app is when updating my status because my elitist streak wants my posts to say "posted from Facebook for Android".
 
Hmm I recently did the update and my awake time is 100% too. I usually just use the browser anyway so maybe I should just uninstall
 
i really just hate the "most popular" way of viewing things. show me what's recent...this is the age of the internet...we want information at the speed of light, what's current. i don't even click most popular stuff when i go to news sites or anything. this is why, when i do use facebook, i usually use the mobile site. the app i only use to a) sync with existing contacts and b) post status.

I agree I had to go back to the preloaded version due to instability issues and if I need to spend serious time on Fb. I go to my laptop.
 
The app just needs a major overhaul. it seriously is the shittiest thing ever. You shouldn't have to load up the browser to view some things and others it keeps in the app.
