Help!! Stuck in 1x

I just updated my PRL to 27392 and now my mobile network type is stuck on CDMA - 1xRTT. What can I do to enable 3g again on my phone?

My current setup is CM6-nightly- 9-24-10 kernel#13 with oc widget.

How do you know if your phone is in 3g or not? Just asking cuz I don't know what mine is in.

That is a strange PRL number. The latest Sprint PRL number is 60670 as far as I know.

Are you running your handset on a different network? Perhaps the problem lies somewhere within that information.

The status bar at the top will say "Ev" if you are receiving a 3G signal. It will say "1x" if you are on the 2G 1xRTT data network.

My Sprint HTC Hero really only switches to 1X when I am sending and receiving text messages. At least that is all I have noticed.

However... every once in a while my phone get stuck on 1x.


Here is the easy fix:

Enable Airplane Mode
Wait for 5 secs or so
Disable Airplane Mode

That is a good suggestion. Alternatively, you can add the HTC mobile data widget to your home screen and toggle that on and off to reconnect to Ev-Do.

I do that on the rare occasion my mobile connection stops working or it stays on 1xRTT. It works great.
