ok so it looks like the official update may not come, so im ready to move on. I heard about the Universal androot, and how you can still get updates OTA and it doesnt void the warranty. im still a little shaky about his though so can some one tell which is the 2.2 rom for the mytouch 1.2, and where to get androot, and any other FYIs. also does the lastest 2.2 rom have multitouch. Thanks

androot is on the market, google cyanogen for a good 2.2 rom

ok ive got the cynogen mod 6 it was about 53 megs, is that right size? Now do i need all the radio and other stuff or can i just flash it with just the mod.

get gapps too. From recovery flash CM6 then gapps, restart and wait. It will take up to 10 mins to boot, and foyo will redownload your apps so long as you don't mess with the market.
and no to the radio or anything else.

i can do this through rom manager right, and which phone model do i choose, ion/mytouch 3g (gsm) or HTC Magic (gsm)

I would give you a better link, but xda seems to be down atm.

find your phone and you can download the rom for your 32a and the gapps.
It will also give full instructions, read carefully and follow step by step and all will be well.
