I follow your tweets also man!! I got so excited earlier in the day yesterday when you tweeted that velocity 0.3 was going to be released!! You're the man. Expect a donation soon. =)

ok help! I can't get v0.3 and I'm going crazy! lol every time I attempt to download, it'll start, then stop and give me the message "Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone." I've already partitioned my sd card in preparation of a2sd, and am going nuts not being able to use it. I have cleared all caches, tried rebooting, tried clicking the link, tried just typing url in, and get same message every time.

Any suggestions? I need the awesomeness that is v0.3!

ok, downloaded to computer then transferred to sd card . . . trying now . . . and . . . nice! like the VELOCITY load screen :-)

ok, problem solved! and once again, you rule Trident. (also, thanks to Drellisdee and Vmanismine -- the three of you have pimped my phone)

Which file\files do you want to download if you want Velocity v0.3 and drellisdee's GNM_TURBO JIT but without the overclock? I have no desire to OC.

Thank you, but I think someone is trying to tell me not to do this. I just started the process and the ROM Manager force closes everytime I try to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery. As if I wasn't worried about doing this already, the fact that it's giving me problems so early in the process tells me I should probably leave well enough alone.

Going to download the files anyways just in case I ever get brave enough to try it, assuming I can get the ClockworkMod Recovery thingy to flash.

BTW, would I install the Velocity ROM first and then drellisdees adapted version second?

Does anyone's search on the youtube widget work?? It didn't work on V.2 but I didn't care. After deleting the youtube widget on V2, and readding, it was the old youtube search widget and not the one that scrolls the most watched videos of the day. This widget, featured in V.3, doesn't do anything when I click the camera or magnifying glass.

Does it work for anyone??

It takes a very long time. I get those messages too, but I just click "wait". However, it never takes for me the first time, so I have to click "flash recovery" a second time (this one is faster) and then it works.

Yes, you apply any of these things overtop the ROM.

Trident can you or someone else who may know please help me. Can you give me a guide on how to apply custom themes. i applied the stock theme but my status bar background is still white

After using Velocity now for about 24 hours, i'm really amazed at how well my Ally performs now, and I was quite happy with the way it performed on the stock ROM. It may just be my imagination but everything, including things I wouldn't think would matter, work faster. I know this forum loads quicker and every other webpage seems to load faster as well. When I turn on the GPS, it typically has trouble finding me at first. With Velocity, it seems to find me almost right away. When I flick up or down a menu screen, there is not that little pause like there was with the stock ROM. It's little things like that i've noticed seem to be improved with Velocity.

Trident, I LOVE it! You rock my socks, and have made me love my phone.

EXCEPT it crashes every 24 hours.

Phone alarm goes off at about 7:00, I snooze a million times or so and around 8am I pick up the phone to check messages, when I push the message button it doesn't light up and the screen typically freezes for a few minutes before flashing into the Velocity screen (with slooow graphics).
Pushing buttons does nothing to shut it down, I have to take out the battery. Every. Single. Morning.

Is it the alarm app? Should I stop snoozing so damn much? (no way!)

I've looked all over this forum for the answers and have managed to solve every single other issue I've had by reading user posts and guides, this is the LAST ISSUE before my phone is PERFECT!

Please help :D

I use an alarm app and it works just fine. I don't hit snooze a billion times though. Maybe delete that one and try a different alarm app? Plenty of them in the market.

Good suggestion but I'm already on my second alarm app! I'll try another one, but I've got a theory...

Could problem be caused by using Handcent for messaging? I've noticed some posters having crash problems with it and it's been lagging terribly for me. I'll uninstall/reinstall and see.

It's probably something to do with your cache, or dalvik cache. I didn't realize until now that they are two separate things. Using Clockwork Mod Recovery I have to go to advanced and clear Dalvik as well otherwise I get a ton of force closes and apps which hang up "lag" or apps which won't even install. Maybe clearing your cache as well as dalvik cache may help. I don't know if this will involve reinstalling your rom or not. Check with someone who is a little more knowledgeable or another post about it. Hope I kind of helped you.
