i cannot get Navigation to work. It'll find my location. give directions but Navigation just cannot find GPS

Just tried mine and the maps worked and then I did a navigation from there and it pulled everything up just fine. Are all three of the location options checked? I know they are, but just thought I would double check.

yea all three are checked. It really caused a mess for me today traveling from Maryland to New Jersey. I went from RC1 to RC2 just wiping the system. What did you have before RC2?

I had the new Fission ROM, which did not have the Enable Assisted GPS and it slowed down the GPS and it was one of the reason for me to switch after a day. Before that I had Rubix Focused.

could that be from increasing the regularity that the sensor checks if your face is there? that's one of the tweaks in the build.prop to make the phone respond quicker when you pull it from your face. could you try modding those lines back to the default and seeing if it makes a difference.

I changed it back to 450 the UID 1001 sensor still pops up after a phone call. I'll keep trying different things but I'm pretty stumped as to what it could be. Not sure if this'll affect my battery life like it did on rubiX (I went about 12 hrs without calling and my battery was at 60%), but we'll see.

My navigation worked fine yesterday. I did a sbf and factory reset before installing RC2 so I had just stock.

just wanted to add my two cents and opinion, this rom rocks....a little trouble at first but the people here walked me through it when i thought i had bricked my phone....i was really unhappy with the stock outta the box..so much crap loaded with the new phone and and now..well, all i can say is WOW

You can download the systemapp2.2.rar file HERE, it contains all of the stock 2.2 system apps. The blur news/weather widget is the geniewidget.apk file.

Hey guys need some help here. So I just installed it and went to go text someone and when I went to messaging and typed their name in it didn't come up. However they're in my contact list. I believe this is the only one. It's not in my dialer but it's in my contact list. Help?

Hey guys I've seen this question everywhere but I haven't really found a definitive answer. It seems as though since none of these roms really remove all the blur, we have the ability to add back blur apps. Well, I want to add back the stock txt messaging app but for the life of me I can't. I know its conversations.apk and I install, set permissions, but when the icon appears in my app drawer and I try to open it I get nothing, it goes right back to my home screen.

I just want to know what else I'm missing to add back or if it is impossible for someone to actually officially tell me its impossible.

On a side note/bug issue, I noticed this with rubix too, but when I use the stock sms app and I click on a thread it sometimes opens right into the wrong conversation. Am I the only one this happens to? Also, when I click the new text message notification it doesnt always go right to the new txt, just the main thread screen. I never had either of these problems with the stock app.

I think it's because their number is not set as 'Mobile' - this is a quirk with the default Android SMS app.

I think you also need to install Messaging.apk. Conversations.apk is not enough.

All I can tell you is that when I installed ApeX I did it completely fresh, and it has been spectacular. Snappy, no lag, and none of the other issues that some seem to have. I would say that if you are planning to keep it for a while, then spend the couple of hours to set it back up from scratch.

Did you use the sbf?

If so, I will most likely do this, but just need to find the time and read up on how to do this process.

If I can just follow Fab's instructions and that is truly clean, them I'm all for it.

For those running it, aside from performance, how has battery life been?

Sure did... Says it's installed to system...

I go to system/apps in root explorer and it shows it there but not installed... I click on it and go to install then it says "Application not installed"

I extracted the .rar on a Mac... Let me try on a win PC but I don't think it should matter...

The app does not show up in the app drawer and the widget is not listed so I assume it is wanting something else (dependency)...

Stable for me, but might not be for others. I'll probably just create a script that will enable overclocking for those who choose to use it though!

Having problems with bluetooth as well. Phone will only connect to bluetooth audio, not phone and audio as it normally would.


Update: Did a battery pull and all is working as it should now.

Where did you get the APK from for the stock messaging app? Also, how do I go about installing the standard music application?
