Help GPS app for X10?

tears123

Newbie
My God I been posting so much here!!

I was looking around but can't find a GPS app that can do turn by turn instructions with voice.

Is there a such app that I can use with my X10? Or is there a GPS service with turn by turn voice instructions that I can sign up for?

THanks

Hello

googlemap ;-)
Blue triangle called Navigation in your apps. it does use your data connection, so if you have limited data, probably not the best choice.. I am sure there are others but I have been usein Google and it seems to be okay.

Try CoPilot Live.
Turn by turn navigation and most other things a regular gps can do.
It uses satellites too and NOT internet data as you download the entire country you are travelling.
Works very well on my X10:):):)

I have had many SatNav apps, and then got the full version of CoPilot Live, and I must say, CoPilot is by far the best i've used! It may not be cheap but it is honestly worth the price

CoPilot Live sounds good, have any of you tried the 3D view? does it slow down the phone a lot? does the battery last long?

What do you use to hold it in cars?

Does Google nav use Internet only? can it use the satellite too?

Google Nav uses internet to get maps and satellite for the location awarness. It won't give you any voice directions until it has a fix on satellites.

Just installed the copilot live. It works great. But it does not always give voice instruction, does anybody else do that?

I use Google Navigation. I have a 6gig data plan so data use isn't much of an issue. It has never used all that much data though for me yet and I find the instructions and navigation quite reliable.

I haven't tried CoPilot, but I probably will just to compare.

the only reason i use Gmaps is that the nav system is free... and also gives instructions and route either you're driving or walking

I tried out the copilot few more times this afternoon and it seems to do a good job once I get on the street, off my drive way. The instructions seems good but is there anyway to change the voice? They sounds terrible!

I never have a problem with it, it's 100% perfect IMO.

Do you have the full version?
Did you download the voices?
Did you download the maps?
