Standard music app as in the stock android one that came on the DX?

Under terminal emulator run

su
music -mot

That will switch apps out.
make sure you put a space between music and the -mot

Could my issues due to installing over the leaked .15? Do I need to SBF and install the OTA?

I had the same issue after I installed both without wiping data/cache and with the wipe. I went back to my backup of RC1 and it worked fine. For whatever reason my setup using RC1 is faster (according to Quadrant) and works fine with my bluetooth.
 
Question, not sure if others use or have noticed, but with Launcher Pro and this ROM/theme, I'm not getting the unread email counter for gmail on my dock like I normally do with other Roms. Anyone have ideas? Counter is working fine for handcent and missed calls in the dock, just gmail is giving me problems

*edit* problem was with launcher pro, something got corrupted.

I had issues until I did a battery pull. The headset would connect but wouldn't transfer sound for phone or media.
 
I like the messaging app that came with the droid x. I added it back and setup the permissions but it keeps force closing.

I see you say was launcher pro... Does this mean you got this resolved? And if so, did you simply just reinstall the application? I'm not getting gmail notifications either, so I'm a little curious..

Yep, just had to uninstall and reinstall. Make sure you get rid of the current backup file/directory that there is. Once I did that and reconfigured all was well again. I was also having a problem with making backups, kept saying SD card wasn't available. This reinstall fixed it.
 
Got a new question for you fab. I prefer the Blur Alarm Clock, so I used your script to install this and it works perfect. The problem is that the icon that shows the alarm is set appears when I first set the alarm, however after some use of the phone and some sleeping of the phone, the icon just vanishes from the notification bar. The alarm is still set, works fine, just the notification icon vanishes. Any ideas?
 
New release looks good. No gmail included in this version? Good thing its available in the market.

Oh, do we need to install the "hotfix.zip" that we needed on the first APEX?

Not sure what you're talking about, I absolutely love the text messaging interface included with RC2...

I'll pull a screen cap in a bit.

Go into the .zip file and pull the file out, or extract the files and explore it that way.

Easiest to do on a real computer.
 
Great, it's way faster, but it crashes randomly.
Couple times when using google voice, and a few times just out of nowhere (sitting on home screen or lock screen even).

Sometimes it also gets locked up and/or freezes, but it usually solves itself within 15 seconds or so.

Any suggestions?

Did you install this over a fresh version of 2.2? Or another ROM?

I would recommend running the 2.2 SBF, then root, then install ApeX RC2. Perfection.

(NOTE: I also have REVOlution theme installed so it's all black, but I forgot exactly what the other differences are between the stock ApeX messaging and the themed version)

I did a 2.1 SBF --> ROOT --> 2.2 update.zip --> ApeX --> ApeX RC2.
I had done this a few other times with FlyX so I have experience getting root to stick from the 2.1 to 2.2 switch.

I would guess that you have something that stuck around from a previous ROM or OS version... I still think a fresh 2.2 SBF > Root 2.2 > ApeX RC2 would fix your problems.
 
Hey quick question. How do I install the icons where everything is in words like in the screen shot? Do I have to manually do this or what?
