Help Getting back to the home screen

When i hit "home" to go back to the main screen on my Droid 1 it takes a really long time. The widgets especially (picture frames, handcent sms, my days) take the longest to load. Is there any way to make this go quicker or no longer happen?

The infamous redraw. There really isn't any real fix to this unless you root. You could try using a different home-screen application.

Try download Launcher Pro, ADW Launcher, etc off Marketplace. These are home app solutions.

Its kinda complicated to fix the redrawing with root so I won't get too into that. Just check out the Root section of this forum to get a sense of what it is.
