Help Droid ringtone on samsung captivate?

I know that the droid ringtone is for the droid x and droid 2 and it's probably trademark for verizon but I was wondering if there was any way to download it onto the samsung captivate? I'm talking about the text message ringtone that just goes "droid".

yea you can get it through zedge, an app in the market, but it really doesnt make much since being your phone isnt a droid but im just saying

I use that, for my captivate, what I did was download 'mp3 download' from the market place

I found that file (might take you some tries), then went to market place and downloaded 'ringroid' so I can turn the mp3 into a notification.

i downlaoded the file from zedge however when i set it as my notification tone it doesn't work. do i have to convert it into a different file?

I just downloaded one of the "droid" ringtones from Zedge (there are a few of them). It works for my txt notification. Did you set it from the menu in txt message settings?

Now my son's Droid and my Captivate can compete with "drrroooooiddd".
