Root .avi?

Is there any way I could get my Droid Eris to play a .avi file? There are several movies which I have obtained legally in a .avi format, and I simply don't have the time to watch them on my pc. But, I have a lot of time where I can watch it on my phone. So, what I want is a .avi file support, if even possible.

Look for Rock Player in the Market. It has played every video format I have thrown at it.

Try this. But odds are, it won't play very well. Our phone doesn't have a very good processor for this sort of thing.

So odds are, your going to have to convert them to MP4, which does play fine.
