Possible petition for Blur-LESS Froyo build?

I use laucherpro plus but still use the blur widgets. They are great!
I use:
social network
Set social status
calender
news (im loving how you can set custom feeds!)

Ok so I just joined in on the forum. Newb with a DX unrooted running LauncherPro+. This is kind of a not-so-recent thread but I have some questions on the topic, as I've been wrestling with using blur widgets.

I know LP did some work to try to make blur widgets work but I still see some issues:

Thornfullessrose or others..
Are you finding any issues with sizing or function of the blur widgets in LPP? If so or not, what are your column and row numbers set at and did you notice that made a difference?

I too kinda like the blur widgets to a point.. I like the pop-ups on the news and social feeders and the integration with contacts, messaging, etc.

I guess until LPP gets an Email widget or incorporates that into Messaging, and a News Feed widget, we deal with either blur or aftermarket for those.

When i reboot, the news feed widget looks weird and i would have to resize it and put it back for it to go back to normal. i have it shaped like the stock news widget where it looks long like a candy bar.

Same here I notice on morning reboot the blur widgets lose their minds. I've pretty much given up on them as just an unresolved LP / Blur Widget incompatibility. I think it's the the way LP's home works, especially the row/column addition capabilities that the stock widgets can't deal with.

I have to agree that the "choice" would be nice.. To just load the "vanilla" or the full factory "blur" or other, brand depending. Should be an option at reset/setup. Along with the "bloat" apps.

The only complaint I have so far about blur is the BLOATWARE...I really don't need the apps that came preloaded on my phone and it would be nice to be able to Completly remove them...

I came from an original D1, purchased on launch day. I rooted it and flashed a new kernal for overclocking...currently I don't need to overclock and I find overall that the D2G I have had for almost a week is "snappier" all around. There are some things about the blur widgets I don't care for, but its easy enough for me to NOT use them.

I do agree that the consumer should be given the option on whether they want vanilla or blur, but again you are always going to have people who love it people who hate it. Not sure if a petition would really do much, I doubt motorola would want to take off something that is "their own" especially if they are using it as a selling point for the phones they manufacture.

Just encase you didn't know, you can remove those unwanted apps using Root Explorer from the Android Market.:) I don't like them either.
