So i have an oppurtunity to drive a bugatti Veyron for a day. the downside it will cost me 2500$ plus I have to pay for any damage to the car should it happen, gas, etc...

this as well as the pagani zonda and koenigsegg are some of my all time favorite cars.

If you're that into cars and $2,500 is something you can afford to spend on an experience then go for it! Me personally, I think it's a waste, but I don't have that kind of money. If I did I might do it too!

Once in a lifetime, dude. If you have the cash, and your kids won't starve because of it, DO IT!!!!

Oh, and where is Hingham Ma? Can't be more than 4 hrs from me, so come pick me up.....

wow.. you have to be really loaded to blow $2500 for 1 day joy ride.

I can think of sooo many other ways to have fun with $2500.

Yeah, but you could die tomorrow and never experience something like that, either.;)

Question is are they going to unlock the performance mode of the car? If not I think its a waste.

I can't remember exactly, but each one costs the VW group some crazy amount. They can't even sell the veyron for enough to recoup the amount it costs to build them. Awesome.

the way I look at it, I currently have no real big bills or anything like that, last month I made a ton of commisions (i think close to 9k) and december is going to be equally busy. I was planning on building a new gaming PC, but then this came up. I have a decent amount of experience driving high performance supercars (driven a few ferraris lambos etc...) but have never had the opportunity nor dreamed of being able to get behind the wheel of a bugatti.

Im not sure if it will be a limited bugatti or not, that would be a deal breaker for me. but if it a normal veyron and performance mode is still enabled I am thinking more and more I need to jump on this deal.

EDIT: I did some math, if I were to rent the car for 480 days straight I still wouldnt have come up with the actual cost of the car.

One of your links says $2500, the other two say $25000 a day! You might want to verify that price first.
I just googled "rent a bugatti" and those were the first couple that came up. If you notice one is in the US and one the UK. I was just putting it up there as an example.

If your really going to get a chance to go 250 mphs..

Thats a once in a life time experience.. Especially if you can hit 250...

You might die... but, my god, your going to be one of the few people who died going 250 miles per hour..

Also.. as far as damages go.. if your going to damage it you may want to make sure you go down with it :P

So i ended up going through with this yesterday. Well worth the experience, I only got it up to 146 before I started to chicken out and let off the gas, but even that was exhilirating beyond all belief. I was limited to only 200 miles of driving which sucked, and after taxes fees etc.. it totaled closer to 3200$. I would definately do it again. maybe next year!

so was the performance mode enabled? 200 miles sucks but understandable at the same time. how many people tried to race you?

glad you enjoyed it.

performance mode was allowed just had to have an employee enable it at the track (didnt allow it for street driving). I drove up to NH speedways and used the extra 100 someodd miles left there. while driving up there had a lot of people slowing down on the highway, i think one person in a civic wanted to try to race but I didnt want to get in any trouble so i just coasted at 80 and ignored him.
