Root Update Not installing

I've had root for a while and i installed 2.2 before the actual release. now I'm getting constant messages saying an update is available. When i allow it to restart and begin installation, nothing happens. Maybe it's because I already have 2.2? I dunno, but the notification keeps coming up.

Help?

hmm, may be alot, but unroot, restore, and then make sure you have the most up-to-date firmware, and thenn reroot. idk, thats prolly what id do haha,

what is your kernel and software number currently?

If you have modified anything since rooting, the update will not install.

I don't know how installing the manual update will affect your phone since it's rooted but I had luck with an Incredible that I unrooted having the same symptoms as yours. I used the link below, but again it was stock NOT rooted.

Do I just unroot? Or what?

This process worked just fine for me.
