Root [ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

im running 1.2. Maybe i should try a reboot. Also I was just playing angry birds and went back to the home screen and main dock just stopped appearing. I had it set to the 5 icon dock. Anyone else have this problem?

edit: after the reboot the main dock is back, have yet to try angry birds again though

Installation Instructions: Just install this with clockwork recovery or rom manager. No need to wipe, mount, or uninstall any updates. The Nexus LWP using Nexus colors and a 'Dark' background is what is in the screenshot.

The following download is compatible with ALL ApeX versions:

open bootstrap
hit bootstrap recovery(you will see a prompt that says success hit yes)
then reboot recovery
nav to format data then cache
then install zip from sd
then choose zip
then scroll to whever you placed the file on sd
hit ok
once finished installing back out to main menu using power button and select reboot
done

I formatted my data and cache. Now I can't find the zip on my sd card. I think I put the unzipped files on it.

What do I do?

You can just boot back into the system and drag it over again. It'll prompt you to log in like you just got the phone, but at the android screen, you can click the four corners of the screen clockwise starting at the top left to skip it.
 
Hey Fabolous, first of all, thank you for all of your efforts on Apex rom. I love everything about it!

I just installed the Gingerbread theme on my phone, and it seems like there is no service, although the 3G mark is on. Is there a fix for this?

Can you try a *22899 to update PRL?

To be honest, I also have no 3G...but not just on my DX, but my Tab also. Makes me think VZW is just down here.

Where do you live?
 
Just so you two know ... I NEVER turn off the data connection on my phone, but after installing this theme, it was off. I had to go in and turn Data back on.

I live in Charlotte, NC. At my house I always have full bar, and it does show the full bar, but I'm not getting any service out of it.

Maybe the massive blackout due to the new update they are trying to push?

This may be an outage because I didn't install theme yet since my 3g isn't working on my phone just made ad-hoc wifi on laptop to get it back for phone. I'm in Chattanooga, TN

you are probably right. I just restore my revolution theme and still no service...

Well the update is live and can be pulled will that help you compile the files? Or do you need them already zipped?
 
Got a problem... I was on 1.2.1 and flashed back to stock 2.3.320 without Apex ROM to check out something on my facebook account and i went to install (not flash) 1.2.1 from rom manager and after the install i skipped the set up and skipped the google account stuff to check out something. Well when i went to sign back into my google account it says " cant establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care." any takers?

boot into recovery and do a wipe, then reboot and go through the setup process again.
