Root [ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

Thanks for your suggestions...
1. I just tried my SD card via USB and it mounted okay. So, no problem there
2. I have checked to allow unknown sources
3. Tried this as well, still no go

The problem is that I can't even run a system format, or at least I don't think I know what you mean. The only thing I have been able to do is factory reset.

Normally, I flash roms using Rom manager but since I cannot even download any app from the market, that option is shut. I have tried booting into recovery but cannot access my backup folders from there.
 
You can always use the SBF to give yourself a clean copy of 2.3.15 and do a factory reset to get rid of your own files. That's the worst case - no need to bring it back to VZW.

If a factory reset doesn't do it, just follow one of the guides in this forum for using the SBF to restore your phone back to factory.
 
Ok guys, thanks SO much for your help and suggestions. I was able to resolve the issue. Here is what I did that worked. First, I reset the phone and went through the activation process. Then, I went into the Dev Tools app and selected the wedge system option. I noticed that after a few seconds or minutes, the phone rebooted itself and everything worked great from then on.

Hope this helps anyone that may encounter similar issues. Thanks again!

So once 1.3.0 is done will we have to jump to .340 first before we can get it, or will this take us to .340 if we are on .320?

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your hard work. I installed the hotfix last night as well as the GB theme!

All is running smooth. My only complaint is my battery life seems to be suffering for some reason with this ROM. Hopefully the new update will fix that a bit. I think Im also going to reinstall everything from scratch this time and not use TIBU to restore my apps+data.

I am anxiously awaiting the new version! I have to say, I think I may try ADW for awhile. I need to learn how to use it since I'm not familiar with it, but it seems way faster on my Droid X than LPP!

I installed the 1.0.02 because I'm still on 2.3.15, I have 2 issues/concerns. I performed a clean data/cache wipe when installing.

1 is that I can't get my facebook contacts to sync with my phone contacts. Also I've found that the contact list in the Contacts App vs the Dialer App are different. Thoughts?
2 is that I prefer'd the blurr messanger with the yellow/white speak bubbles (only 1 pic of the person you're talking to rather than every message...) is there an option to switch it back?

Sorry for not reading the thread. I plan on upgrading to .340 and 1.2 soon enough, so if these issues are cleaned up in that version, let me know and I'll shut up :)

PS: NEW FAVORITE ROM! The ADW and the flips between screens are awesome. Also love the vanilla look.

That's right, in the contacts app, it includes all your contacts, whether they be Gtalk friends, or Facebook friends w/o phones. In the dialer, it's only people who have phone numbers. Makes sense to me how Motorola did that.

As for the blur messaging, the script is in the first post:

su
messaging -mot

will switch you over. Take a look at the first post and the scripts, because there's actually a lot of options for programs...

side note. Just DL'd the update.zip that was posted a few posts up...Can I just run that? Or do I have to do the .320 leak first? Currently on the .15 OTA...

I drink Bud Light. LOL, not picky at all :)

As for that update, I think it will only work for absolutely stock .15 users.

I got my .340 files by using the .340 SBF from the .320 leak.
