Help Notification Bar Showing Incorrect Sender?

"Has anybody noticed that sometimes when a text message comes in, that the Notification Bar will show it coming from somebody other than the person that actually sent it? Then when you actually go into the text itself it shows the correct sender. Happens to me quite frequently."

This is coming directly from the Captivate forum, but I've been experiencing this quite frequently, in some cases it will show a different name than the actual sender or it will just show their number instead of their name.

Anyone have this problem? its really annoying.

Yep I have this too, and yes it's annoying. I don't know what causes it or how to fix it. It's not using a contact I was just talking to, it shows a random contact. So weird.

I also had this problem on the stock app. I just switched to Handcent, so I'll see if I get the problem anymore.

i have this problem occasionally, also. Nice to know it's not just me. Also, sometimes when I view my call log and click on the call icon to call back whoever I just missed, it will dial my voice mail or someone else totally random who wasn't even on the call log.
