Root [ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

I just updated to the new Apex and I accidently added Dolphin HD Browser to the center slot on the gingerbread dock, now I cannot figure out how to remove it from there so that I may access the applications through the function it was previously. Any guidance?
 
Just flash to. 320 and apply ApeX became .340
this is so awesome. Thx fabo!!
The rom is so nice I don't know if I am going to apply revolution theme or not because I love the circle battery so much

Just get bootstrapper and you're all good to install the ROM. It will deodex for you ;)

Thanks Fab, I just needed to get bootstrapper installed and this all made sense. I have it running now and it's fantastic. You appear to be set for many drunken nights at this rate! :D

was working a few minutes ago, now it says connection problem. I suspect it is on Google's end. Maybe they are anti wikileaks?

Sidenote, dropbox is down too.

Edit: now they are both up :D
 
i think i might have come across a bug. whenever i use the aosp gallery, my phone locks up then reboots. i have tried it on 3 separate occasions and the same result everytime. the motorola gallery is fine though, so im using that which is no big deal. i really have no preference between the two. just want to let you know.


edit: disregard. it turns out that my overclock settings were a little too aggressive and that was the reason that its was freezing. i reduced my oc settings and no probs.

I was able to fix that by putting the Vvm.apk file (found in the removed apps / think it's in the 1.2 thread) on the sd card. Then...
su
install Vvm.apk

quickoffice is still not opening files from K9??

Oh, and the FC with the text messing was me being dumb and using the old version / no longer happens when I changed my LPP shortcut to messaging :)
 
Hope its ok to post this here. Does any one know how to put contact pics from facebook? It doesn't update them, or were can I manually refresh to put the lastest pics.
 
What happens if I don't SBF to the leaked 2.3.320 and I go back to where I can receive OTAs? Say I flash this over top of OTA .340 and something glitches or I need to SBF, can I do anything of that sort? I know with the leaked .320>.340 route, I can SBF back to 320, but I was just checking via the other route.

If you are on 320 or 340 you have to SBF back to 320 since it has the bootloader.

I personally was on 315 and SBF'd so I could OTA to 340. Now if i need to SBF i will have to SBF to 320 then update via 340's update.zip, SBF or apex 1.3+
 
Found something weird when I go to beautiful widgets and try to download a new skin it just tries to pull up new skins and nothing comes up? And does this with the weather skins too. Never a problem till now.

Long press to add a widget on the screen. Then custom shortcut, pick activity, launcher actions. Pick open/close app drawer. After it's made, drag it to the position you want it at.
 
Where can I find the widgets that used to control the on/off functions of WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc.

It looks there is the same issue with Quick Office on this build as the previous build before the quick fix that Fab put up. I was able to use an old .apk that I have on my SD card. I uninstalled the version on the phone using Titanium and then used the script in Terminal Emulator to install the old apk and it works great.

Also I tried to use the Gingerbread keyboard the first time it came out and took it off before using it because the keys looked too small. Well I have been using it all day today and I love that keyboard. To everyone saying it is too small, give it a shot for a day and see what happens.

There are a couple of them out there in the market for free. I use Dazzle and think it is great.

there is a stock widget called power control in android by default.
