Root [ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Thanks Fab!! Love the ROM. Great as always bud!

I'm having a couple of issues. I'm using launcher pro plus as I prefer it over ADW......

Gmail keeps FCing and I'm using the LPP facebook widget, but it won't let me add my account to it.

Any remedies??

Handcent MMS worked perfectly with ApeX 1.2.1 (as long as the default SMS client was still installed)... However, I can definitely confirm that pictures will not send through Handcent on ApeX 1.3. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent, but no love.

I can also confirm that MMS will send with the default SMS client.

Maybe there is a fix coming? :)

if you have the nandroid then restore it and push it through settings then reroot using z4 and flash apex 1.3.0 and dont worry about deodex as the rom will deodex for you;)
 
soo as i was trying to download the goodies zip and vending.apk from my browser. the download as unsuccessful. that was in both dolphin browser mini and the stock browser. any ideas? also i use dx/d2 overclocker. PAID for it lol it wont let me OC to 1.3ghz like i used to
 
First let me say awesome ROM..I wanted to ask Fab will you be putting out an update zip for the new market..I want to update it but don't want to loose your themed look....Thanks in advance for responding...
 
Its very easy to install the icon pack. Extract the images, put them in your sdcard. With ADW, long press the shortcut you want to change, then drop the icon back in the same location. Now you can change the icon and shortcut name, just use gallery to choose Pete's icons.

There was a known issue a while back. I can make Handcent sent fine over 3G but it does not work over WiFi. If I need to send an MMS I just have to turn off WiFi until it sends.

By default, the Browser will only download a few file types it recognizes. IIRC, downloading ASTRO file manager lets you download more types.

As for overclocking, what app are you using? I'm using Jrummy's, and while it did act up on me a little bit, I got it working after a few tries. The newest .340 OTA kernel is causing these problems I imagine, as I didn't have any issues until I did the MDW update to the newest kernel.

Probably just need to give the devs a few days to get it worked out.
 
Just wanted to say thanks-- a donation will be on the way soon. I've been on an older rom on 2.3.15 w/ nextheme, unable to decide what move was next. Well, I did the 2.3.320 .zip update, got my kernel up to date, and went with Apex 1.3.

Everyone who said this doesn't need a theme-- is right! And I love the keyboard.

Handcent will not send a mms for me either, whats weird i can FORWARD a mms through Handscent just fine. On mine it dosent matter if its WIFI or 3g. Stock messaging works fine.
 
Hey guys with the Handcent MMS issue, can you try switching from the AOSP messaging to the Blur app? Since the AOSP one has modified code (for the black backgrounds and custom notifications), Handcent may be having some issues communicating with it.

Handcent requires a native SMS app for MMS functionality. So what I'd like you guys to try to do is change that native app:

su
messaging -mot

And then try to send a MMS with Handcent. Be sure to go to 'Text Messaging' to turn off notifications, or you'll get double.

That works Fab on both 3g, and WIFI!
 
anyone else hacking issues using the search on the new market apply? sorry if this has been brought up I am on my phone searching the forum.
