2.2 Marketplace

I just went to the marketplace on my phone and it said updates available. Before I could check which ones my phone rebooted itself (screen went black, home buttons stayed lit, media card scanned when my screen came back on). At first I thought my phone broke! LOL

I loaded 2.2 for about a half hour a few days back before I droped back down. One of the things I noticed was that the "About" "Comments" "Related" all had their own tabs rathed than all being on one screen.

When my phone booted back up and I went back to the marketplace I noticed that mine too now looks like this.

Figured I'd share.

Wait, you're down to stock DI18 now and the market stayed updated?

No I've been back on DI18 now for a few days. I can check my post history to put an exact time line together. I installed 2.2 (whatever the build alphanumberic is) and then I uninstalled it within an hour as my gps wouldn't lock. (I Odin'ed back)

Then, today... oddly I recieved the 2.2 marketplace in the mannor I indicated above. (I clicked market, it said "Updates available" - I went to bring my top bar down and bam my phones shuts off for about 30 seconds. When it boots back up (to the home screen) I contined what I was doing (searching for something specific on the marketplace) and noticed that the layout was the same as it looked when I had 2.2 - which is different than what it normally looks like on 2.1.

I don't know if it's a "big deal". But at least it's another change like the voicemail one. What was funny about that is I didn't get that update at all on my phone. (I've never rooted or do anything out of the norm.) Then I put on 2.2 and as I said dropped back down to 2.1 within an hour. Immedately after Odin did it's thing and auto rebooted my phone it asked to do the voicemail upgrade. LOL I doubt thats coincidence. <These phones must not like old files. Thats why the gps messes up when you update and maybe why I wasn't getting the voicemail update.
 
Am I the only one here who got this update so far?


Feel free to smash me with a hammer and call me an idiot if the market place has been like this for a while now!
 
My Market was also updated since last night. I'm on stock DI18. Hopefully another step in getting the official FROYO.

I honestly don't know when my market was updated--it didn't do anything special this morning and looks the same as it has since I flashed 2.2.1. It is version 2.12 now.
 
Settings>Applications>Manage Apps. Scroll down to Market and Tap it it'll show the version.

Mine is on Version 2002013.

It's different now the way it has the About/Comment/Related Tabs in your DL'd APPs plus an option to update apps automatically.

wow, that's 3 zeros and a 2 more than my mere 2.12 that has all the same features as yours. Does your Manage apps screen have a bunch of buttons (4) at the top? I'm using launcher pro. Still have the pinch zoom gotta love that!
 
i have the update also. i noticed it a few days ago. now hopefully that means well be getting froyo soon lets hope because all the updates were part of froyo 2.2. would really like flash
 
Google is getting ready to roll out a new marketplace posted about soon. It get rids of the tabs. Engadget posted about it.

No, my Manage applications screen does not have 4 buttons on top just the list of apps.

I got the same update this morning. I like the new update all feature!
