Root No new kernel works for my droid incredible (Using CM6.1RC)

I'm trying to get a new kernel onto my phone but every kernel I have tried either makes my phone freeze at the "HTC Incredible" boot screen or it boots to my home screen where I put in my password but my phone wont recognize the touch screen which makes my phone unusable.

I'm using a droid incredible version 2.21
Kernel Version is currently 2.6.32.15-gca2b55c-dirtykoush
Mod version: CyanogenMod-6.1.0-RC1-Inc

Since you are using CyanogenMod, which is an AOSP ROM, you need to use an AOSP kernel, like the one that comes with the ROM. There are plenty of them, but you need to make sure it is AOSP and not an HTC Sense based kernel. That's my first guess as to what you may be doing wrong. What kernel are you trying to use?
