Stock keyboard colors...

I've switched around between three or four different mods with no issues. That's strange. Are you rooted?

Wow awesome thread guys. Creating a keyboard was so simple and it looks amazing.

Help you guys!! I made a keyboard and downloaded it to my pc, now what do i do. How do I get it on my phone?? How does the code thing work?

It may be easier just to use google goggles to take a picture of the bar code after you generate your keyboard. It starts the download to your SD card automatically. Once it completes, you can either just pull down the notification bar and touch the "download complete" notification, then install using the package installer. Or if you'd rather use astro, just open the app, go under your sdcard, then under download (or any specific browser if your're using one, the download folder is under there), touch the htc-ime-keyboard then install it. The last step is to hit menu, settings, language & keyboard, then enable HTC_IME mod. Open up your text app, long press on the text box and choose input method, HTC_IME mod.

There ya go

Is there a way to keep more than one of these mods on your phone at once? If I make another one, it replaces the last. Either way it's a great little tool to add even more customization to your phone.

I'm having trouble making the keyboard recognize my user dictionary from the stock message app. Anyone have success with this?

I don't think there's a way to make multiple keyboards on the same phone, as technically it's the same file. So whenever you try to download a new one, it's just going to overwrite the old. As for renaming the file, maybe if you play around you can get something to work, but I have only been able to do one at a time.

Yes, the site does require you to register, but it doesn't ask for any personal info like a phone number or anything like that. It just needs an email if I remember correctly.

I never thought about using my already full user dictionary from the stock keyboard, I'm not sure how you would do that or if it's possible. I just made a new one, but I haven't used it an a few days as I finally got accepted into the swype beta (after 6 long months and completely forgetting about it to begin with).

I definitely like the customizeability though, and the accuracy is good. The only problem I did experience was the spacebar symbol (whichever you may choose) not being re-formatted to fit with the ".com" button which sits right next to it when using the keyboard in the browser. It's just something minor though.
