Nexus S first reviews...

Found the first reviews for Nexus S. According to the people it does not record in HD....
I don’t care about the SD card but no HSPA+ for T-Mobile and no HD recording is actually a step BACK and at this point is a "minimum" requirement when I’m looking to purchase a phone. I am not paying $500 for a new operating System when the phone falls sooo short in hardware. I’ll just wait another 1-2months and I’m sure that Gingerbread will be available for a phone that has better specs then Nexus S.
Google Nexus S reviewed: liked, but D1 video confirmed - GSMArena.com news

Checkout the video samples of the Nexus S camera on youtube.

seems very very good, despite what's written in this review.

this phone is silly, its a step backwards. Sorry but its an iphone wrapped in a samsung body. 16gb on board, no expandable memory? wtf were they thinking....no hd video...single core...no front side camera....Im sorry guys this phone was sadly under developed. Wait for the motorola olympus and remove the crappy interface of blur and enjoy it.

Oh I forgot to mention its missing the band for ATT 3g network....fricken lame.

There is a front facing camera but yeah overall it is underwhelming. It's not a step backwards IMO, just not far enough forward.

ah they did give it the cam? thats good. First design I saw it didnt have it. I havent looked at the vids above. Good to know. This phone feels like a very cheap attempt to lure people off the last round of galaxy S phones.

Such a sad event. The Nexus line is suppose to be the flag ship and this is a shrimp boat.

I'm not a Nexus S customer but am awaiting Gingerbread to be released to other phones. I came here just to look at the S out of curiosity. After learning about the specs though, I have to agree with some of the above posts that it is a bit underwhelming: no HD, no SD card slot, etc.

And just my two cents here, but having an HD function as part of the phone's video recording is a pretty cool feature. I use my Droid X for video quite often and I also like not having to carry two devices (phone and camera/camcorder). The camera functions on my phone work very well, and I like the HD clarity on video. Some people might not care about HD, but to each his own...

I am very hopeful that the Droid X will see Gingerbread sometime next year. The phone is fantastic on Froyo 2.2.1 right now, but with GB I'm sure will be even better...

Happy Holidays

I can see everyones disappointment but you have to ask yourself something, Why would Google choose this phone? I believe they did because they continued on a Dev based phone, and really did not care if it appealed to the masses. I agree not having a spot for additional storage is beat, but 16 gigs is a hell of alot of storage to play with. I dont think that this phone was even made to upstage ANY phone. I agree that in some areas is does not even live up to my captivate but thats cool, remember the Nexus was Googles flagship android phone but it was not the pinnacle to what every cell phone should be built to. I got rid of my nexus based on the fact that the display looked like you were viewing it through a screen door, but agree that is was a awesome phone. i think we need to not take this phone personally and let be what it is, a new android device to screw around with until the next big thing comes out.

Wow, seems very underwhelming. The only pro to this phone is that it is a nexus and will get OTA updates quickly. Other than that, wow, pretty bland.

Once the dual core phones come out this phone will be nothing. Ok it will get updates first but personally i would rather have a more powerful phone and have to wait a little longer for updates then settle for something lesser just to get faster updates especially with the development community the way it is now makes getting updates even faster.
