How Many Apps Are Installed On Your Desire?

A knowledgeable contributor on androidforums.com commented that the number of downloaded apps installed on my desire was excessive.

Now numbering 162, I wondered how many apps other Desire owners have on their "limited" memory phone.

The results may be indicate to HTC when developing future phones the capabilities which their customers Desire

Not all 162 regularly, but the boys play games which I do not and if I see an app that may be of use at some time it gets added rather than having to do a search when I NEED the app

Exactly. They add up and you never know when you will need them.

Now where did I last see my compass, spirit level and I wonder what that star is in the sky? etc

I probably use no more than a dozen regularly.

I ave bout 25 -30 apps, I use the clock, alarm and calendar mainly, and rescue the cat from the laundry basket game. Not a widely known game, works well with kittens.

You could also ask how many have rooted their phones, that would tell HTC so much more.

18, and I hardly use all of those. I find that i use about 10 of them daily and others occasionally... I have to say though, i am a minimalist and i think i have OCD so cant stand a messy app draw!

You could try MyAppsList but you will need to exclude some apps (such as it counts Audio Managers skins as apps)

A quick count of all the apps in my app drawer amounts to 120 icons. I know there are probably some duplicates, and I've hidden a number of stock apps so they don't show up. But apart from some of the kids' games, I think I do use most of them.

Titanium Backup reports 282 user data elements; I think this counts apps and app-data as separate entities.

hmm counting through appbrain, I get to 75. To be honest, I think of most installed application .. I probably use less than 10-15 daily/on a regular basis.

Sixty-three here. But I've yet to root, which will probably result in me removing about 15 useless HTC ones. I use about seven of them daily, and about twelve a few times a week.

I have 32 and that is not including the ones that came with my phone. I am always fighting my memory always under 20mb so I really watch what I want to put on my phone and I hate that. I do love my Desire but when my contract is up I think I will go with the Galaxy S

Surely by then there will be another more advanced phone? The Galaxy S is as old as the Desire.

I've 193 BUT that includes system apps. too !

I've some bought on the Market too but not installed.. I've around 50mb free on the RAM.
