Read back a little bit...death took the radio out of the flash in case a user with the zvc update tried to flash the rom...flashing the radio to the same thing bricks the phone. If you already have version c of the radio, don't worry about it.

Had no idea that could brick the phone. Just checked and im running zvc anyway. thanks
 
Is it just me or does the battery on the Ally last FOREVER with this ROM?

Well, I have to say I love Punisher 0.1. More space after installation, fast as hell without OC yet and the 50% bug appears to be gone (so far). Have had it installed about 30 or so hours and until two minutes ago Time without a signal has been 0%. It is not 1% but still better than 50% or more. Not sure how it is possible, but hopefully it is fixed permanently. So far, my favorite and fastest ROM. Thanks for death, Trident, dres and all the rest that make ROMs like this possible.
 
what was included is 2.6.26.6 and i dont understand why your battery life is so bad... what governor are you using in setcpu?

i hadn't installed it yet, didnt want to futz with the overclocking before i got a feel for the ROM.. i had my phone in my pocket at work last night and never used it but lost at least 1/4 of the charge over the span of about 7 hours
 
Hmm. I'm sorry you're having such bad battery life :( I wish there was something more i could do? I know this isn't the best option but have you tried booting recovery and wiping data, cache, dalvik cache, and SD-EXT(if you use a2sd) and then reflashing the rom?
 
Gawd my phone is sooo much faster now. Thank you, from the bottom of my scrotum. What improvements does the new radio img offer? I've installed it, but how will I notice a difference?
Oh, and, what kind of scaling is best to use in Set CPU?

i'll give that a shot! no need to feel bad man you worked your ass off on this release, no need to sweat over one user's problems ;)

Still. I would hope all my users get as much enjoyment as i do and others do out of using this rom.

I was aiming for light, quick, and battery saving.
 
you're probably trying mv or cp commands. or the install command

Terminal emulator from phone:
su
sysrw
cat /sdcard/nameofapk.apk > /system/app/nameofapk.apk
 
that did it thanks, even though i think i tried that exact string, probably typed wrong 4-5 times.. now the wife wont kill me.any way to get car home, she just saw it wasn't there, and its back in the dog house

If you goto the Android Ally website ( Android Ally ) and download one of the ROMs, you can pull any of the stock apk files right out of the zip file and install them the same way you did the clock\weather widget. Just open up the zip file and goto the /system/app folder and copy whatever .apk file you want.
 
Ok Death I love this Rom. Now is there a way to change the initial sound. What I mean is you know you set it to the punisher quote. I set the notificationn on somthing else and now when I turn it on i t just beeps. I am sorry for such a stupid question But I never have figured that out with any Rom. Again so far my favorite Rom as of yet. The android opening cracks me up. I Love it.
Any one know of a good Weather widget? I liked the one in V3 is that available somewhere.
