Indeed.

Although I was slightly upset when I got to best buy and found out the upgrade price was $250 not $200 its still worth it.

I swore I would never buy another Samsung product but since this is a Google device with stock android I figured it was worth the risk.

Not really digging the curved screen though.
 
I've all but given up on 2.2. I'm happy with my phone, I'll just have to watch what I download and be happy with what I have. In 10 months I'll be halfway through my contract, there will be newer, shinier phones and I could get an upgrade deal perhaps. Otherwise, I'm going to stop watching the calendar for when they'll actually update the phone.

Exactly but guess ima root now since it will also aloww me to use google earth:cool: tmobile really seems zipped up and quiet like they screwed us up with the phone and don't want to say nything
 
Got my G2 from UPS today.

I am too much of a phone nerd to not play with it and I must say I kinda like it more than my Nexus S.

I may return the sammy and get my $250 back :confused:

Do it! Screw samsung. G2 will get 2.3, if not officially then from the CM team.
 
rooted to 2.2.1 with Cyanogen and I couldn't be happier..

make sure before you switch to a custom rom, create backups of ALL your apps with Titanium Recovery, this will let you re-install apps not in the rom (since it doesn't have Market)..
 
my slide is on the fritz with a STRANGE issue. i wanna call customer service for a new phone, but i want a better phone replacement like everyone else! haha should i ask for a 4g mytouch replacement? maybe a g2? muhaha i mean i guess it wouldnt hurt to ask? lol

I had 16 Mytouch Slides. 16. No typo.

I love this freaking G2 and getting 11mb/s speeds.
