Price part is really attractive - unbelievable to me :). Thanks for the info.

btw its a pre-order with Flipkaart claiming that Estimated Release Date: 5th week of December :rolleyes: God knows when it will be really launched, meaning we can walk away with DHD from a retail mobile store.:confused:

At the beginning i was like...a month has 4 weeks right n all :p

I just checked my calendar for Dec...
I think by 5th week of Dec they mean 27-31st

And if its available with flipkart for 27500...different retailers shd have even better pricing to give u the best deals...and i think they are gonna sell like hotcakes to say the least...

God....!! Is this really happening ?

Site working now. Checked it and sounds pretty cool. Hope its available with retailers in a couple of days.

I too checked the 5 weeks thing in December :rolleyes: I still think HTC will ensure that they keep spoiling our mood by making DHD available only in Jan 2011. :p Hope I am wrong. Shall we make few phone calls to HTC customer care :confused: ? Why not !! :cool:

its launched with a price of 555 euros which is around 32600.
My guess is it will release in india with a price of 30k. As 555Euro is the pre-order price. expect it to come down.
 
Just talked with HTC india. They are saying it will release in 2nd week of January and no idea on the price as of now.
So its very well possible that flipkart will keep changing the last week of December release date to next week n so on.
So there is risk right now to buy it from flipkart as ur money will get locked there until the official release.

27.5 grand for DHD pre order is a mind blowing price.
I think the original desire price drops down and after 2 months may be the DHD goes down to 25 grand.
If flipkart sells for 27.5 grand, then retailers may sell at a much more tempting price....

any news on retailer prices at bangalore anyone???

Anyways, looks like the India release has come close and the price is great too.

My reaailer in pune just called and said he will get the DHD tomm officislly 27k around

So its finally here officially and price is gr8 worth waiting :)

Tht's good news.I called couple of folks in mumbai but htey got knw idea on release date. The HTC desire price is dropped to 23k
 
seems like distributers have started to ship to retailers and sooner or later it wil l be available to all

can you give the retailer information who told you about availability from tomorrow? also any idea if price will drop after initial hype?

I just called 6 retailers but can only manage to get +ve news from only one retailer here in Bangalore. He told me that DHD is available with him, he has got only 5 DHD's with HTC India warranty and DHD will cost Rs. 29,000. (Akshar Telecom, Address: R.V.Road, Bangalore,Tel: 9886158861)

I will try to call all HTC retailers in Bangalore as per the HTC India website and will report here later. Request all of you to find out the same from official HTC retailers in your cities as well.

Yes, I was and am leaned towards LG dualcore phone because LG dual core phone is 4" (bit smaller than DHD) - comfortable for me, SAMOLED screen, HDMI port, very fast than DHD - please see videos on youtube, I could have provided you the link but am in office so can't open youtube (comparison of Optimus 2X and Iphone4). Am very impressed how fast Opimus 2X works :). But, I have 2 concerns - one is global warranty and other is LG make of the phone. :( Other than that, I also thought that DHD has not got a HDMI port and not good speakers. so, almost had made my mind for Optimus 2X. My no friends are visting Germany/Korea so can't get Optimus 2X. Also, less reviews are available about it. :o

And for my requirements, infact Desire is also okay, DHD is better and Optimus 2X will be best. However, as per the current situation I will go for DHD as I am finding hard to continue my wait for my life's first smartphone. :)
 
If this is ur first smart phone then from my past exp I wil suggest htc is better with its super htc sens ui which makes everything so simple and intuitive.

But choice is urs buddy :)

I don't have any idea about Flipkart, do these phones come with an Indian Warranty and India maps pre-loaded?

How is the opinion on Flipkart? might be a stupid question, but I have no previous experience with flipkart

Flipkart is indian copany from b'lore.

In india online shopping isnt as much smooth as in westernn countries.So its better to get the phone from retailer where u can pick up d phone immediately so no waiting period and in case of issue u can reach the seller easily.
